For me, that was some of the best racing Ive had in a long time!!! 1st race trying to get around brnt for what seemed like forever was a blast. 2nd race was same story only with Parcells.
Extremely tough track to pass unless the guy in front of you slips up. You just have to have a bunch patience. Even though I didnt win the race, I learned so much today in both series about give and take. Great racing Brnt and Parcells. I look forward to our next encounter!
General, i got hit from the rear as well so if that caused me to get into, you have my humblest apologies.
Just watched the replay. Nobody hit your rear gunny, you were way clear of the guy behind, however General, you just cut straight accross the front of him so gunny you were blamless
The thing about these MX5's is that they teach you how to race in tight quarters as the cars are soooooo evenly matched, I could care less about winning. Yes I will fight hard for my position and I did everything I could on Parcells but Im not going to force an issue either. Both races for me were about how close can I race with these guys and try to pick up where they are losing speed and where I can make my move.
The biggest thing is knowing who is around you and where they are in relation to you and making sure you hold your line and if you blow a corner, you need to make sure you get back in line cleanly/safely. Yes you may lose a spot or two but you will lose so much more if you just barge back into your line and try to force your way back in. Al that said, its easier said than done.
To be fair Grim, to me it seemed like an old F1 race. lots of laps of cars doing the exact same lap times but with no overtaking. I honestly think there was about 3 overtakes
Is all about using the draft, Looking where the car in front is slower and picking your overtakes. I know the cars are all the same is but we as drivers are not. Take me an Daz turn one I was Ok but the last turn I was slower. It basically turned in to 27 laps of me and Daz 20ft apart. He finally got me on the inside of turn one then was gone.

Personally I don't think that its fair on the rest of us that a promoted driver goes to the top of the leaderboard when the points were not aquired by racing in that room. If drivers are going to be promoted mid series I suggest that points are awarded for room A from 1st to 16th and then from 17th to 32nd for room B.
If we have 16 or less drivers for both rooms I will merge the rooms but will score as before. I will also split the rooms in to two groups with room a drivers setting of first.
I'd like to apologise to Chief for taking him out during the second race i shouldnt have come across so much, especially with a 15% i just couldn't clear you. I took the risk and cocked up your race im really sorry dude
Some hard racing this week. The replays are going to be interesting ;). I like the one room format and will do the same next week if everyone's ok with that? That is unless more than 16 drivers turn up then we can go back to two rooms.
