Batman/Superman movie announced for 2015. *Updated* The Flash movie also for 2016 and Justice League for 2017

Here's one of the many articles on it, I took this one from IGN, but there's tons more.

Fans will be getting the Batman/Superman film they have been clamoring for, according to reports from The Hollywood Reporter. Man of Steel director Zach Snyder is reported to take the helm. While it seems that Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in the film, no actor for Batman has yet been rumored. Man of Steel scribe David Goyer is set to pen the script.

Also rumored: a Flash film for 2016 and a JLA movie for 2017.

The Warner Bros. panel is happening at San Diego Comic-Con, and full details are expected to be released then.

UPDATE: Man of Steel director Zack Snyder took the stage at SDCC today to have his MOS actor Harry Lennix read the passage from The Dark Knight Returns as a way to formally announce that the next Superman movie will include Batman! The studio then showed the Superman logo with a new Batman logo behind it. It's really happening, people!

UPDATE 2: Here's the official statement from Warner Bros:

On the heels of the worldwide success of Man of Steel, director Zack Snyder is bringing together the two greatest Super Heroes of all time —Batman and Superman —for the first time on the big screen.  The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution,Warner Bros. Pictures.

The current hit, Man of Steel, has taken in more than $630 million at the worldwide box office to date, and climbing.  Along with its star, Henry Cavill, the upcoming film brings back Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.  The new Batman has yet to be cast.

Snyder is co-writing the story with David S. Goyer, who will then pen the screenplay.  Production is expected to begin in 2014, with an anticipated release date in Summer 2015.

Silverman stated, “Zack Snyder is an incredibly talented filmmaker, but beyond that, he’s a fan first and he utterly gets this genre.  We could not think of anyone better suited to the task of bringing these iconic Super Heroes to the screen in his own way.”   Kroll added, “We are thrilled to be back in business with Zack and his team on this next movie.  The success of ‘Man of Steel’ is a wonderful testament to the love and support that both fans and new audiences, worldwide, have for these characters.  We are very excited to see what Zack has in store for all of us.”  Diane Nelson, President, DC Entertainment, noted,“Superman and Batman together on the big screen is a dream come true for DC fans everywhere. All of us at DC Entertainment could not be more excited for Zack’s continuing vision for the DC Universe.”

Zack Snyder, who made a surprise appearance at Comic-Con today, breaking the news to audiences there, later said, “I’m so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can’t wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter.  Let’s face it, it’s beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world.”The new film brings back Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder as producers. This time, Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are serving as executive producers, along with Benjamin Melniker and Michael E. Uslan.Thomas offered, “Whilst our Dark Knight trilogy is complete, we have every confidence that Zack’s fresh interpretation will take the character in a new and exciting direction.  His vision for Superman opened the door to a whole new universe and we can’t wait to see what Zack does with these characters.” The film is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, and Batman characters created by Bob Kane, published by DC Entertainment.

A Justice League movie... Who the heck would they fight in that? Let's assume that all the members will be in it right.

Lantern, WW, Superman, Batman, Flash, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman... Overpowered to say the least.

Yeah, they announced the Justice League movie for 2017, so it's still pretty far away, and there's only a few enemies that would even work in that movie, probably Darkseid, Brainiac, Starro, Mongol maybe, Bizarro Superman again maybe? The Bat/Supes movie is already casting a the new Batman right now, and they are fast tracking the movie to get it out in the summer of 2015. Rushing things often lead to bad movies... They're supposed to be calling the new Bat/Supes movie "World's Finest".

I don't like the title, b/c they gave the "World's Finest" title to the comic based on Huntress and Power Girl, a.k.a. Robin, Batman and Catwoman's daughter and Supergirl from Earth 2.

I dunno, I'm getting ready to post this in the TV show forum as well, but it was just announced that DC is introducing The Flash in the Arrow series, and fastracking his own TV show that will eventually run side by side along with Arrow, on top of that they announced plans for a Flash movie as well.

How do you go from Christian Bale to Ben Affleck? WTF! It's like going from Meryl Streep to Lindsey Lohan.

It was funny! He was recently on Leno or Letterman can't remember. Anyways, they pretty much had him picked from the get go. They actually called him and offered it to him, no audition. They told him once they announced it to not go online. He said he told them he was a big boy, and could handle anything the net said. The on the day of the press release he went online and the first comment was "NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!".

He said he shut down his computer immediately and hasn't went back on lol.
