Games marked with an * are Free-To-Play
for me, for X1: Watch Dogs, BF4, Peggle 2
interested in Killer Instinct and Crimson Dragon but won't purchase Day One.
PS4 AC4 and Watchdogs and I'll give Drive Club a whirl.
Considering 5 1/2 of those ps4 games are f2p, I'll be picking those up for sure. Resogun, BF4, Killzone and maybe Ghosts gives me way more crap to play then time.
PS4 for Battlefield 4, AC4, Watch Dogs, and Killzone. I'll definitely grab the Free-To-Play PSN games as well.
I'll already have Madden 25 on the PS3.
Also, just to clarify the above PS4 list, I separated Launch Day from Launch Window:

NFL 25
NFS: Rivals
Knack
Resogun
Infamous Second Son
I've got the X1 preordered, but as of yet I'm not sure if I'll pick up any release games. Maybe Watch Dogs and I'll also get Project Spark when it comes out, which unless things have changed is also free to play.
PS4
Watch Dogs
COD Ghosts
BF4
Killzone
AC4 Black flag
Want to try out Drive Club first before I buy.

Did I mention BF4?
I actually pulled a 180 last night and switched pre-orders to the X1. Forza and RYSE just look so damn good. I'll still go with AC4 and Watchdogs. Sony's launch line up is doing nothing for me so the PS4 can come later. Drinking may have also had a bit to do with it too.
RYSE is one of those that look nice (at least the ship landing shown at e3, the new mp does not) but the game play looks like a giant steaming pile of shit.
I'm shocked....Ian changed his mind....LOL....
Ghosts, Battlefield, Dead Rising 3...Maybe Watch Dogs if it's not *too" stealthy. Titanfall...and for sure Peggle 2.
wish Titanfall was launch window, but it's not :(
Ryse I don't care about, but apparently new gameplay shows it's not really a bunch of QTE's.
It's Q1 / 2014...that's close enough to a launch window for me!
Actually I think it is closer to spring. I have heard rumors of 4/1/2014 (could be someone trolling me) cut it does match up with the spring rumors.
Oh, for fuck's sake. You people and your "facts". Fine, it's not on my "launch" list.
close enough. I'll allow it. ;)
I agree with Biznass' RYSE game play assessment.
This looks more like a really poor interactive film, something along the lines of HBO GO without the "useful" information to read while the show runs in the background.
This game is visually stunning, and really caught my eye back in June.
but you don't actually have to do anything in the Quick time events to continue forward in the game... you can essentially sit back and do nothing and still have it play through the scene.
I'd be interested to see more from the gameplay footage beyond what was shown in June.
I will exclusively be playing BF4 on XB1.
I guess I'll try Killer Instinct and FIFA 14 for free. I don't plan to buy anything else until Titanfall and Star Wars Battlefront come out in 2014.
X1:
Forza, Ghost, Bf4, DR3
Minecraft, Project Spark, Titanfall when they release.
PS4:
Watch Dogs, Drive Club
Probably play War Thunder. Already playing on PC. Order: 1886 when released.
Assassins, Battlefield and Watchdogs top my list. But i don't think I need 3 games all at once to play since i only play one at a time usually. So.... i might settle on Watchdogs since it's the only new IP of the bunch. Battlefield 4 on consoles is suppose to look crappy according to Gamescom attendees so i might get that on PC instead. Assassins looks good but how much different can it really be, it's like the 10th game in the series . SO ya, i think Watchdogs is the winner for me.
Titanfall while getting lots of hype and we all know who's making it so it should be good. But to me it just looks like it's going to be way to chaotic, it's a game for people with ADD to play to calm them down LoL... just way way to freak'in much going on, to many angles of fire. Anyway that's my impressions from seeing it played @ gamescom. I don't think it's for me.
I read the article on IGN and about the PS4 and it doesn't surprise me. It's early for the consoles and even though they are close to PC's it will take them time to get everything figured out.
On the other hand, with the consoles switching, I wonder what the numbers of players on each one will be and if there will be enough to make it worthwhile to jump right in. I am going the PC route with Battlefield 4 even though I suck with a mouse and keyboard. I hope they have better tuning for the gamepad. I find BF3 on PC is way more intense than on the 360.
Ghosts, Zoo Tycoon, and Titanfall. That's pretty much it, with Ghosts more of a "*sigh*, I guess I'll get it" purchase.
Call of Duty and Maybe Ryse. Money will be tight since its only a month before Christmas, so that should do for time being.
I so want to get Batman, and Assasin's Creed, and Marvel Lego, but I'll wait to see if there are any price drops between black friday and New Year's like there usually are.
DICE's response to the console graphic issue http://mp1st.com/2013/08/23/battlefield-4-qa-with-dice-developers-obliteration-levolution-and-vehicles/
I preorder and pay everything off in advance, so it allows open income for Xmas for the kids. It also allows me to make payments over time.
XB1 - Ghosts, Forza 5, Lego Marvel Super Heroes, AC4, BF4, Dead Rising 3, FIFA 14, Ryse, Just Dance 2014 and Watchdogs (and of course Titanfall when it's released) Also picked up additional controllers, and a new Turtle Beach headset for it.
PS4 - Killzone, Drive Club (and of course The Order 1886, when it comes out.) Also picked up extra controller and the PS4 camera (to see what it's about).
PS4: BF4 , Killzone
Xbone: Forza 5
