WeeklySaturdaySuperFunEventWithAmericanMuscle [FINISHED]
Back in the day before the Lotus Evora T124 Event there was an event hosted every Sat evening by DRTuned(?). I’ve been told that I didn’t destroy the event with my T124 series, but I still believe that I did.
Anyways, anyways.
I would like to re-open the events with the help of Sarcasmo and Jimeez.
I would like to make the first event for Sat Sept 7th 2013 @ about 9:30ish EST. The event will start at this time as long as the Lotus Cup doesn't run too long.
The first event will consist of American muscle cars made prior to 1980 (year may change once I see what was made in the 80s).
Builds must be A Class
V8s
RWD
American
No aspiration changes please. I would like to keep these cars all motor if possible. If there is a car that comes stock with aspiration, I may allow it, or make it to where you have to remove the stock aspiration. (yes, that can be done).

. The rest is up to you.
No paint is required other than race numbers.
Tracks on the 7th are yet to be determined. I may decide to make it a spur of the moment track choices. So make multiple tunes for your cars, speed & grip (if there is such a thing).
These cars are a ton of fun to drive, and there will be collisions, so expect to get hit from time to time.
COLLISIONS WILL BE ON AT ALL TIMES!
Starting grid will be random.
If someone seems to be leading the pack by a large margin, the race leader can call that the lead position(s) pit at any time. Also if someone has a pretty bad wreck, it may also be called that EVERYONE waits up a bit to allow a catch up. I want people to have fun and not get pissed off because they got wrecked.
Please be courteous and just have fun. Any and all ideas are welcome, but may not be implemented, so don't get your panties in a bunch if your idea doesn't get used. Jimmeez, Sarcasmo, or I will be hosting this. I'll get with them soon enough to work out the complete details.

I guess I'll have to see what people have to say. So far not too much interest. So we have 2 people. Anyone else got the testicles to race these beasts?

every muscle car I have has aero on it, don't want to spend the time to take it off.
Saturday nights sound fun, consistency will be tough though. I will jump in as often as I can.
it has been brought to my attention that people may not like the no aero rule. Keep in mind this is not a "series" for the muscle cars. This is an event which the cars may or may not change every week. Now my question to the rest of you: To Aero or not to aero, that is the question. In my personal opinion, it's only A class so the HP of the cars won't be too high after the addition of Tires/Weight/Trans/Everything else. And if you make a speed tune, then well, you give up handling, give one/take one. What do you guys think? Jimmee and Sarcasmo your opinions would be greatly appreciated on this as well.
Like you said this is not a series race just run what ya brung thing. So as I said I'm not going to be taking the aero off. If the majority do not want it then by all means run without aero. Its cool. I don't think Jones runs aero and Driveby has said no too. Cool. No hard feelings here..gif "1")
It would be good to see no aero just to see how everyone drives without that aero grip. It will be a blast.
Most of the cars are ugly with the Forza aero wing.

Simply comes down to the car. I think alot of mine have it, the hard parts that there's no filter for selecting...
I'd hate to have to tune 5 or 6 cars for one night...
Jimmee's usually allergic to anyone else's tune bTW.
If I give him a car with the no aero on it, he can tune it himself. Just not have to remove the aero. It's a one night thing, so just tune 1 car with a speed and grip tune. You know what? Fuck it. I'll change the Aero rule, run it if you got it. I won't be running aero. I'll take that PI and put it elsewhere. I just hope this decision doesn't fuck the guys that aren't running aero. But oh well, I'll make the lead position(s) pit if they get too far ahead anyways.

Is it just one race? I can look through my garage for a car for one race. I was just thinking if we were hopping around, it might get a little confusing is all.

It'll be a 2-3 track race "event". Maybe more depending on who stays inittowinit. Then next sat will be different. More or less a one-off night every week.
It'll probably be 15-20 min races. Who knows, we'll see when we get there I think. Unless Jones or Jimmee chime in about Track selection.

This sounds like a Saturday night A class fun run, only limits being RWD 70's or older American V-8's? Oh, and no forced air, correct?
I think I'll just make a category and toss a couple in so I can get to them easy enough.
