How to even begin this post?
For several different reasons (mostly personal), I find myself with little to no time for playing Forza. Because of this, I feel that I'd be doing the club a disservice by trying to stay on as club leader when I can't even get online to participate. So, with that being said, I'd like to open up the floor to nominations for a new leader of our North American club division.
Some things to bear in mind when thinking about who you think would be best...
Are they available regularly & a well established member? I want someone who's in it for the long haul. Dedication
Are they a problem solver?
Can they get along with folks?
So here are the Rules:
Nomination deadline will be Saturday September 14, 2013
After nomination phase ends, I will start a poll with the candidates names. Voting will end September 21, 2013
Anyone can be nominated.
A nomination must be seconded in order to be considered eligible.
A member may nominate himself, but his nomination must still be seconded in order to be considered eligible.
A nominee may decline his nomination if he does not want the job. Simply post up that you decline.
with all of that being said, I'd also like to extent my thanks to every single person who has ever come through our doors here. I've made more great friends here than I can count. I thank you for all of the good times. I'd also like to wish you all success in the future. I hope 2o4f will be around for another 6 years at least. I will return eventually & I will also maintain my presence here in the group forum, so you haven't heard the last of me. I will be maintaining my mod status here & will more or less be a figurehead from now on. Not to get all sappy, but I love all you guys.

for right now we're just concentrating on the NA club leader. We'll deal with who will take over here once we get this sorted. Church, I'm all for letting you take over here if you want to take it on.

I would vote grim but as he is really good with all the race stuff and organizing everything but I wouldn't want to put more stress on him by adding that responsiblity. I would nominate someone like drivebye or cooter. Doesn't really matter if they are on everyday just as long as they can get the club stuff done in time and a good manner.
I've been pondering my nomination most of the day and have come to the conclusion that I may not be the best candidate for the top position in the club. I feel that my numerous character flaws would work against the unity that we are trying to achieve, especially so early in the reunification. I'm bluntly critical, easily annoyed, vindictive, and tenacious when seeking reciprocity...or retribution. None of these traits typically describe a good leader. I would not mind acting as the garage curator, and I appreciate the fact that my name was suggested, but I decline the nomination for club leader. Thank you for the consideration.

I would have to say Brnt would be my choice. Second choice would be Grim .
Organization,problem solver, calm demeanor. Hmmm I nominate Grimm! Why not Grimm, heck you do most of the heavy lifting on setting up signup sheets etc already. You have a pretty good set of core guys willing to help problem solve etc.
First, let me say thanks to everyone for the nomination and kind words. As most of you know, I have no problem helping out around here in any way I can. Some help with tunes, some help with credits and paints or driving advise. I like to help out with organizing things. I guess its why I enjoy being a Project Manager in RL. As for this particular topic, like brnt said, I already help with a bunch of stuff around here so I don't really see much changing either way.
My only concern is I'm relatively new around here and I don't know much about the history of the group or some of the older faces (no pun intended) around here. That is where I think brnt would be a good fit also.
Brnt is old as the hills both literally and figuratively speaking regards to 2O2P membership. Before Brnt there was Cotter and that concludes the 2O4F history lesson.
All you need to know Grim is if someone needs a slap upside the head and Sarcasmo is not around to dole it out you can call on Parcells for assistance. Bitch slapping people is one of my all time favorite pass times.
