Lost a car I had parked in my old house (as Franklin) thought it would be in at the new house but it wasn't. Pretty bummed I put a lot of cash into it and it was my favorite car. O-well lesson learned.
I haven't done any car collecting or upgrading because of this glitch. First night playing I put 3 cars in the garage and poof, gone. So I stopped. It'll be fixed in the first patch but I imagine that's at least a month out. Length of time to patch is unfortuniatly one of the negatives of console gaming.
You'd think with "auto" in the title, they'd have gotten cars right. anyway, while clearly a great game, the list of annoyances with cars is long. Why not let me choose to save my cars at my safehouse or garage? Okay now I bought LS Customs north and Franklin can upgrade cars free, but then he has to drive ten minutes across the map and pray it saves in his garage.... and my car is going to be impounded everytime I leave it somewhere? Really? Clothes are almost as bad, you spend time driving to a store and cleaning up Trevor as much as possible, but in the next scene he's naked on a farm without any vehicles. Yes it's funny, but all too often it feels like you're playing a game that won't save any of your preferences.
I've never used the garage, I just borrow cars I find on the street. I guess the upgrades make it necessary though.
