How many of you have been able to get online? I still have yet to get into the tutorial race, it's kinda frustrating. Anyone else still having issues?
I sat for 20 minutes last night waiting for that first race. I'm really disappointed in R-star. I mean they seem really unprepaired for the online. I'll give it one more day and then off to GS it goes.

I have played for the past two nights with no issues. Had to wait ten minutes for the race but that's all the problems I hace seen as far as getting in. Still a lot of crap R* needs to work out once inside.
Yeah, do what Dixon said. Use your phone to deposit money. Though, If you want to go to an atm, an easy way to find one is to use the quick menu. Press and hold the back button. The quick menu will pop up. One of the options is for GPS. You can scroll through a bunch of preset locations. Atms, mod shops, ammu nations, etc. Click on it and it'll lead you to the nearest one.
Also, if you click on inventory in the quick menu, there is a cash option. If you click on that, you can divy up money you earned/stole between your crew (robbing a store). There is also the give cash option.
Got the wife to complete the tutorial in the morning the other day. She got connected first time but most of the EU was at work and the USA sleeping. After the tutorial was done I connect right away
Okay I take it back. So I finally got online, can play the online portion. Anytime I try to join a friend though it tells me I can't play online because I haven't completed the tutorial and that its returning me to online. I looked and I have no jobs open, can't find anything that really says what the tutorial is. I did the race and the drug pickup alread. I deleted and started a second character, deleted the patch and tried again still same thing. Rockstar is making EA look like fucking geniuses. I've been through plenty of MMO launches but holyshit these guys have found a new way to completely piss people off.

Okay I unistalled and reinstalled the patch again, started a new character and finally got everything done. Before after I completed the store hold up nothing was happening, I finally got the call to go and put a tracker on the car then the deathmatch. Anyways looking forward to finally hooking up with people online.

I finally got in yesterday. I played some until about 2 am. Then today...nothing. I can't get into a game with friends. I can't start my own game. When I try I get messages that rockstar services aren't available or something like that. The only way I could even get close to playing was to create a temporary character. Then I could spectate in a friends game. By the time they get this sorted my friends who seem not to have much trouble playing will be ranked too high for me to play with them. I refuse to play with randoms so I guess my online experience is over.
I am so over this game right now. It's upset me so much I don't even want to play the single player game either. I don't understand how Rockstar failed this so badly.
I've lost a couple characters so far out of all this mess with the online component. I'm going to finish SP, and if the problems with online still persists by then, I'm going to trade this in for something else.
The greifing is definitely annoying but the >5 minute loading times for jobs are crazy.
I've yet to play with the crew but if my ish is lost and I have to restart one more time, I'm buying that sail boat in SP, cruising a lap of LS and my time with this game is done...

Wonder what the point of that is? I mean, folks have been grinding the hell out of missions for cash out there. Money has no real value as it is. And they're going to start a stock market on top of that?

Nevermind they said it was a rumor. People are saying that their characters are missing but when starting a new one the money goes to the new one.
Sunday we were still getting a lot of problems getting a party together to do missions, seems like at lesat one of us would get the 'servers unavailable' message trying to join, Monday was a lot smoother although I think we only played two missions grinding xp and money.
I guess if you keep getting the 'servers unavailable' message, it's not good to keep trying and trying, that leads to characters being deleted. And don't create a temporary character if you ever get that pop up as an option or your main will also be deleted.

Finally got in, skipping the tutorial mission completely somehow. Robbed a couple convenience stores and delivered a car to Simeon. Kinda fun.
Anyone know where there are ATMs (other than the strip club) where you can deposit your money so you don't lose it when a random kills you?
And a cheap apartment or house to buy? They don't show up on the map and the ones I did find were over 100 grand.

You can avoid getting killed by randoms if you enable "passive mode" in the select menu. Means you can't kill them either though!

Played last night with no issues! I had a great time with some of the crew members, and hope that finally things are under control and stable with MP.
I'm loving it. I'm just now starting to get better missions. I also bought an apartment, so now I can start getting heists from Lester
