Anybody Interested In Some Old School Gaming?
I know this is a video game website. What I am proposing uses video. I recently discovered pen and paper RPGs. I am 46 and just played my first game of Dungeons & Dragons. Well actually we used a free clone called Swords & Wizardry. I met a guy in a Google + Community that offered to dm the game and show me the ropes. We used Google Hangouts and he ran me and a guy I teach with through an adventure. I had a blast. There is a huge community out there playing all kinds of different RPGs using Hangouts.
I was just checking in here to see if anyone else played any D&D or any other RPGs? Anybody playing online using Hangouts? Anybody interested in trying this? Like I said, I am new to all of this but really had a good time. Just seeing if there was any interest.
Actually had a few of us that would get together once a week for a little D&D. It's been a few years now since I've played. Always did enjoy it, particularly the social aspect of it. I think that's why I've really taken to Guild Wars 2 with PACT (guild).
Never done D&D using hangouts though.
Glad your enjoying it. It can be a real blast if you end up hanging out with some good peoples.
I've always wanted to play some DnD myself, but could never find a local group to play with. So, I'd be interested in playing a campaign (or several if successful).
