You know that everything that people do here to make this site work and better is done voluntarily.
The people who help around don't mind this because people actually enjoy doing tasks to help around and shit.
Some people don't really want to do anything but race and be around talking etc but this is good as the people who like to help around seriously don't mind, because if there wasn't people who wanted to just race there would be noting to help with.
Personally I love spending hours of my week setting up Events like the BTCC and then spending at least a few hours every week to do the Results, Enquiry's, Tunes etc etc because I know people enjoy the Event I have created.
There is one thing I don't like though and that's bullshit about stuff that people have done for FREE and expect no reward from.
I'm sorry that every event cannot make everyone happy but if you don't like an event make your own. It really is that simple.
I'm also sorry that you may not agree with some of the things people do that ultimately help make this site better, But if you think it can be done a better way step up and get cracking.
Running Events, dealing with Spreadsheets, promoting the site etc etc can sometimes be a very thankless job and it really does piss people off if they just get negative comments shot at them.
Anyway just try and have a little respect to the people who help run the site and group. They do this for free and there ultimate aim is to create some good hard racing.

The only reason we still enjoy the numbers and participation we have, are the individuals who put their best foot forward and do things for the group.
Last damn thing we need at this next gen moment is fragmentation and bitching. Going to be enough of that as it is.
I have not even been able to race online for the last 4 weeks, and foreseeable future, but I know, or assumed I knew that whenever I did get back, as soon as I logged in, there were likely to be 2o4f guys around for a pick up race. That's pretty comforting. Guys like Grim etc are one of the reasons I had that confidence.

At the end of the day I've only been here a very short time, and I don't have all the context of the history of certain peoples interactions. However, I just wanted to share my experience, since it gives some further context.
When I joined up to 2Old2Forza, I expected the same sort of 'honeymoon' as you get when you join most online communities and most groups of guys to be frank. It all starts with a hole bunch of dick wagging and pissing contests. As the new guy you get immediately confronted by the loudmouth of the group and have to demonstrate what your position will be in the pecking order. Over the years I figured this stuff out and have adapted successfully, but never really enjoyed nor understood it, it's just not my instinct.
But that didn't happen here though.
First, Cotter, who was already on his way out and signed off temporarily a week later, wholeheartedly welcomed me, offered me credits, tunes, and racing lessons.
Second, and pay close attention here... The first time I logged on and got invited to join a 2o4F lobby, before the screen even finished loading and the chat came on, I heard in most uncanny friendly voice 'Cherry BamBam, Hey BamBam how you doing, welcome, come on in, let me know if you need paints or tunes or credits or anything.'
Was blown away but how friendly this guy was, and it was then followed by a whole bunch of 'Hey BamBams' by a bunch of other friendly voices... but whom I was certain their tones were keyed off the first guys tone. (I was then asked if I like to refer to myself in the 3rd person, I think Parcels was present, but that's another story :) ).
Obviously, we all know the first voice came from Grimm, as it almost always has since.
I'm not cool with the idea of Grimm getting demoralized and deciding it's not worth it to put in the time he does. His contributions are enormous
So whomever pushed him over the edge, FUCKING FIX IT. IMMEDIATELY.
Or I will come to your house, kick you in the nuts when you open the door, walk in, fuck your wife, sit down in your kitchen, eat you steak from the fridge and drink all your beer!

- If you don't like somthing 'I' have made don't beat me down on it. It only makes 'you' look like a dick.
If 'you' don't agree with 'my' opinion fine beat away almost everyone here will take that. But not when its something someone has created. Best thing to do is just not read it or if you do don't beat the guys down.
It is however a bit different to writing as its your opinion on a subject. Its not a matter of fact like a set of rules for a racing event etc.

So it seems there has been some problems lately, it's hard for me to keep up on what's been going on since I've been absent from the lobbies. Normally I keep my opinions to myself on certain things, but I'm in the mood to type so let the sharing commence.
It's difficult to convey the appreciation I have for the folks here that invest their free time into making this club the best fucking online community this side of the Milky Way.
There is a lot of different types of people and personalities that meet on the track here, and yes, conflicts and arguments will come about. It's in our nature to butt heads here and there. It's also in the nature of good human beings to resolve issues and differences, and everyone here in this community are damn good people. I've only been a member here for a short time compared to some, but finding this club was the best thing that could have happened to me. 2O4F is everything I was looking for in a online racing community. Great people, great racing, great discussions, great knowledge, and downright great fuckin' times. I was nervous of course when I first joined as I didn't know what to expect. After the ultra friendly welcome and first couple of races I knew this was the place for me. It's an honor for me to represent this community in the world of online racing.
One awesome reason I love this group is because of the wide variety of absolutely everything. There's just a vast amount of activities going on around here. With that being said, there are some series and events that I just don't or very rarely participate in for these 3 very simple personal reasons.
1. It involves a front wheel drive vehicle.
2. It involves some sort of General Motors product.
3. I just don't like the way the series is set up.
That's just me... I don't expect people to agree with what I like and don't like, but that's the beauty of having so many options to choose from when selecting something to participate in. If I don't like it I don't do it, if I don't do it I have no argument or opinion. A very simple way of looking at things.
I just hope whatever the hell is going on gets resolved and the good times keep on rollin'.

I've not been paying enough attention around here apparently. Snappy & I had a conversation via phone this morning & steps are being taken to reach out to Grim. there seems to be certain elements here who delight in stirring up the shit. I have to get involved when said shit-stirring causes one of our most valuable members to leave. With that being said, the originator of this shit storm has been removed from the group. They've been around long enough to know better, & they've been warned in the past.
If you have Grim on your friends list on XBL or FB, please reach out & extend my sincerest apologies & tell him to get in touch with me. I'd like to apologize personally & try to talk him about returning to the fold.
