This has gotten out of hand and to be honest, I don’t really know how to respond now.
I’m pissed at myself for letting this get to me like it did at the time. I’m embarrassed by my actions and I should have handled it differently and for that I apologize. I truly don’t think anyone needs to be booted from the club however I do believe in the old adage that if you don’t have anything constructive to say, keep it to yourself.
Yes friendly banter back and forth is one thing and expressing your opinion about a topic is also more than acceptable however when someone puts in time to organize and event or is trying to help run the club for others to enjoy (not just me, but anyone), making snide comments about why its happening or that the event rules are too long or why do I have to use a certain number board or paint scheme or just general bitching about this or that really takes the wind out of the guy who is trying to help the club. If the event is not for you, don’t sign up. If the club needs you to spend a few seconds a month to help keep things organized for the better of the club, please do your part and support was is being asked.
As for me, I’m going to take some time away and think about things. I’m in no way burnt out but rather I’ve grown too attached to the group and I’m starting to take things to personally. I really enjoy what I do here to help out. Hosting events, helping out with standings is not a big deal for me. I enjoy stats and I enjoy running in organized races. Hosting the actual race is no big deal. I appreciate the support and I’ll be back in one form or another.
Again, no one needs to be booted, lets put this behind us and get back on the track.
3G's....Please Don't Take Things Personally...For One I don't think there is too many guys that REALLY know the next guy in this Club. Everyone here who volunteers their time running races and helping out needs a Standing Ovation. For One We ALL make mistakes including Myself...If You Do...Make a Sincere Apology and Learn from the Mistakes. 'Ol School Doesn't Need The Boot but it not for me to say. I will always try to use some Humor to Diffuse the Situation....And It is Time to Get Back On Track!
To come back, to reflect personal behaviour, emotions and actions, and publically to take responsibility is not "standard procedure". Sometimes I think those good old values left our world. It is good to see that they have not!
You don't have to blame yourself for your emotions. They are the defining factor for being a human, instead of a robot. Handle them with care and trust your inner feelings. We all have a automatic guiding system or navigation if you like: Our heart and soul! They never fail and they bring us experiences we need. Always. Through and with them we built our way for our future life. Each step, each mistake, each crisis..... are one step into the right direction. The possibility of becoming overwhelmed is a gift and prevents us from being bored, dead, old, grown, .....

This tells me that guys are burning out on Forza 4 and are ready for something new. For me, that something new came along over a year ago and so I never got totally burnt out on Forza 4.
It's been a couple of days and I'm still feeling resentful regarding the outcome of this whole situation,so instead of carrying that resentment around with me I'm going to leave it here. On one end of the argument we have a man who is loved by the 204f community and whose contributions to the group are incontrivertible: he's a natural organizer, he's very approachable, and has the ability to make the new guys feel welcome and gets them involved in racing immediately. Unfortunately, this man has over-extended himself, despite being warned by Cotter that he was on a path to burnout. Ignoring the advice from an experienced group manager is an arrogant trait and the explosion in the forum revealed some very thin skin. On the other hand, we have a man who contributes heavily to the site, as a whole, and to the group by providing liveries and designs, at no charge, to anyone who asks for them. However this member is a bit of a pain in the ass, a "shit stirrer" to borrow another member's term...and I can personally attest that he will take an argument personally and is willing to go the distance (yes, we've fought). If both members heavily and selflessly contribute to the good of the site and the group, despite their flaws, why are we bending over backwards and shitting ourselves to get one member back into the fold while kicking the other one to the curb? We do need organizers, like Grim, but we also need artistic shit-stirrers, like Old School. I'm glad that Grim is back, but I think that we owe OldSchool and apology and an invitation back to the clan. I'll understand if you disagree.
Lol Jones. If your that blind my conversation on this is done.
No problem, as you have contributed very little that I haven't already disregarded. BTW, you used a possessive when you meant to use a contraction...all the more reason to remove yourself from the conversation.
I'm also very glad grim is back and I also don't think old school should be booted.
Let the Members Vote If 'Ol School Should Get The Boot. Damn...I Had Run ins with the 'Ol School and realized how petty it was. That's Why Now I Treat Him Like a Son!!!...Let's Do the Right Thing and Bring Back 'Ol School...He Apologized and Recognized His Wrong Doing...Just Like We ALL have one time or another!!!
Personally I didn't want to see oldschool get the boot. I think cotter kicked the wrong person, But I have received several PMs over the past few weeks about oldschools attitude in events and on the forums from different members (Not good PM's BTW)
Personally I would reinstate oldschools membership on a last strike bases.
Shame though that this is carrying on now after a few days even though grim has stated he wants it dropped.
Anyway FYI the only person who can give oldschools membership back is cotter.

So, I'm not blind...that's good to know. Church, you started this thread to air things out, then instead of debating the subject you have relied on ineffective character assassination techniques that most third graders could side step. You are not qualified to gauge another man's level of comprehension, you can only do your best to interpret someone's intention with the information they have seen fit to provide you with. In regards to what Grim wants, I understand the fact that he wants it dropped, but I don't necessarily conduct myself according to what Grim wants. I'm pleased that you agree about reinstating OldSchool, but I disagree with your probationary "last strike" provision...you're either in or you're out. Cotter stuck his head in long enough to give him the boot, he can bop back in and do the right thing.
