Anyone else's PS4 sound like a freight train while you're playing?
Today I was streaming a movie and my PS4 started getting really loud. I chalked it up to the streaming of an HD movie. I turned it off for about an hour and then put in KZ (which is awesome by the way!) and it started getting REALLY loud again the whole time i was playing. Anybody else experiencing this?
Not me. I would consider taking that system back. Seems that is a sign.
If you have a Sony store around you I heard they will exchange it on the spot if they have stock.
My PS4 just shut off randomly halfway during the download of the 1.5 firmware. When I booted it again it went into Safe Mode, did a system check, then spun up the fan really loud. I was able to download and install the 1.5 FW after that and have had no issues since. Do you have enough space behind the console for air to flow. When you have it on is hot air being pushed out the back of the console?
It's actually in an enclosed entertainment center. never had problems with the ps3 being there but maybe thats it?
Yeah try moving it outside the entertainment center and testing.
Mine is VERY quiet.
Last night when I played I opened the entertainment center door and pulled it out a few inches. Problem solved. May put a small fan in there and see if it will work with the door closed but at least I know it's not an issue with the PS4.
One weird issue I'm noticing: when I play a game off a disc, it's whisper quiet. When I play a dowloaded game (BF4, specifically), the fan runs loud. Anyone else having this occur?
Mine was really loud when I was streaming Monsters University for my kids off the sony store (rental). That was before I started opening the entertainment center though. Haven't streamed anything else since.
