[FM4] Vintage Touring Cars and Roadsters - D Class, Drag Tires and SIM Damage (everyone's favorite, lol) Sundays 10am EST
Every other Sunday at 10am EST. Will post up start date soon.(if there is interest)
This will be casual series with no points to keep track of. Just a chance to earn bragging rights and work on collision avoidance. The cars will feature DRAG tires and all races will be run with FULL SIM damage. Race length will vary but they will be on the longer side (25+ laps) to hopefully make tire wear a factor. Races will be held at medium to shorter race tracks.
Pit Stops will NOT be Mandatory! If drivers want to take chances and try to run the entire distance on one set of tires than they can go for it. Be advised: side by side contact will result in damage that could affect your top speed so you engage in contact at your own risk!
This is a chance to do something different and really challenge yourself and others around you. All skill levels are welcomed.

All cars are built to a PI of D350. They are all presently in the 2O4A Club Garage. If anyone wants a tune just send me a PM. Will post the builds as soon as I can. That's a lot of cars!
I know, this bi-weekly race meet has everyone's favorite qualities (drag tires, SIM damage, low PI). What can I say?....it's here for anyone who wants to try it. Just thought I'd offer up something different. Hope some you guys can join in.
Race Schedule - UPDATED 12-7-2013
December 15th - Silverstone International - 25 laps
December 29th - Nurburgring GP National - 25 laps
January 12th - Mazda Laguna Seca - 25 laps
January 26th - Road Atlanta Full - 25 laps
February - Nurburgring Nordschleife (4 laps, will you need to pit for tires?)
Sounds fun and at 15:00 GMT is around a good time to race. been looking for a series where i can race my little bug :)
That is 16.00 here in Germany and ..... I will ask my wife, because I also race saturday at 21.00 and sunday at 21.00. With all that needed training, there is not much time left for family.
On the other side: How is a family, if the father isn't happy????? :-))
Some questions:
1) It will start next saturday, right?
2) is there a special number board?
3) When will you announce the track list?

Is this a weekly or every other week event as it states both in the OP. If you could send me the tunes for the following, Id like give them a try

I'm in when I can. Sunday morning should be much easier for me compared to Sunday night.
If we have to pick a car I'm in with the Beetle. I may give the Bugeye a shot but I really like that VW.

As for the tune on the Beetle......Seriously I don't need one. The car right out of the club garage is perfect.
Thanks for the interest guys! Things look promising for an actual series. I will try my best to get the tunes out tonight. Anyone who isn't already on my FL just send me a Friend Request and I will get the tunes to you. I may send you an entire car. I've got lots of cash/CRs, LOL.
I will have a look at the calendar to determine the race dates as soon as I can. How about we have an exhibition race this coming Sunday the 17th of November, 10am EST? We can race at Hockenheim National.
Also, I will create a number board and post it on my SF and pass it along with the tunes.

@Gentlemann Racer: For the Healey Silverstone was the best track. Rd. Atlanta and Hock Short I felt it was a little bit to slow. I will give a try in the next days. Without lag in hot lapping mode.
The motorsport documentary "Nissan 510 - against all odds" ( to be found on youtube) is a nice one. Saw it again today. Thanks for the tip.

I have been thinking about doing away with the drag tires and using sport tires instead. I was also going to turn SIM Damage off if I went with the Sport tires. There is still too much apprehension over SIM damage. Understandably so.
Yeah, I hear you Cherry. If we could get just have a dozen guys to commit it would be great fun. I'm willing to do it either way. I'm just going to do a calendar of races and see who signs up.
Please, SIM DAMAGE, because that is a real challenge to drive safe!
