No video out.My PS4 bricked.RESOLVED?
Well looks like I have become a victim to the issue plaguing the PS4. It worked fine through last night. Turned it on this morning and no video.I do have audio however.I'm on lifetime hold with sony service right now.
This mess is not looking good for Sony.
That sucks. Hopefully they replace your console asap.
UPDATE: swapped the HDMI cable that my 360 was plugged into and it started working. The 360 is also running on the former PS4 port and cable with no problems. What do you guess is going on here?
That is really strange. My initial guess was that the shipped HDMI cable was defective. However, since your 360 works while using it, I'm at a loss. I would still try to get in contact with Sony and see if they could replace it. It is better to take care of it now than later when the warranty expires.
With those reports of no video I didn't even open the hdmi cable that came with it. Sounds like a shitty hdmi cable or handshake.
I was using the HDMI cable that I was using with my PS3.I never even took out the one that came with the PS4
Huh. Maybe the reseat did the trick. I'd leave it be, sleeping dogs and all.
I've moved mine from my tv to the garage a few times now. I used a few hdmi cables and haven't had a problem. *knocks wood*
I'd call still. At the very least have them send a new hdmi cable.
I actually had problems connecting the HDMI cable that came with the box, it almost didn't want to connect with the back of my PS4 and was a bitch to connect to the back of my new Samsung 47" LED TV, but lightly forcing them in, and now the connection is good, and can unplug easily too, the system booted right up without any issues, but needlees to say I was saying to myself "great you got a frickin lemon this time around"
I'm reading on the net that several units seam to have loose or bent HDMI ports on the back of the systems, or that people are simply using a better quality cable to resolve their issues, so did Sony use a very cheap cable to supply the consumer???
Wow... At least it works now man.. I never even opened the one packaged with the console.. Hopefully that was the only problem
some of the cheap hdmi cable can get damaged just handling them maybe thats what happened. I am still not in a rush to get that contraption. NFS did look awesome and I am waiting on pc vs ps4 on many games. I get a feeling they will jizz up the graphics on the ps4 and xbox1 version of stuff and give us crappy 360 ports to pc versions of stuff. I think the real test is whats up with BF4 ps vs ps4 or even xbone
