Ford history buffs (must see)

1901 Sweepstakes race car, no brakes, cotton corded tires,

not sure but I think this predates the official start of Ford Motor Company itself.

From the interview it sounds like it was built before the company, maybe between the Detroit Motor Company and Ford Motor Company.    Like aviation its crazy to see how quick change happened.  From this to what we have now in small amount of time.

If you look at that car, and what they had to do to win that race, and then consider all that might have went wrong, to me, it shows just how fragile the path was to where we are now.

Just something to ponder.

Also, it shows just how determined Ford was to succeed.
