Mazda RX-8 R3 A600......Interesting issue.

Once in a while you run into a car with some weird issue. This car is one of them for me. With my Springs/Anti-roll bars/Damper settings I'm forced to run -1.3 camber in front.

Anyone else find this car needs more negative camber than other cars? The rear is only -.07

Another car with a similar issue was the old Jag XKE in B class. I'll have to check because it's been awhile but I think I'm running like -1.4 in the REAR.

I ran it in some online races and it performs OK. I ran a time @ Sedona club that was 1400-1500 on the LB which is quite good for me. I suspect many of you would make this a sub 1000 car @ Sedona Club.

I threw it in the club garage but I'm going to run some other RX-8's and compare before I call it "done"

What's the toe settings on it? I run typically 0 to pos .2 on the front and -.3 to -.5 on the rear, depending on the car. Generically I start at 0 front  and -.3 rear.

I think it's those stupid 19" wheels and thin sidewall tires.

I think some toe out would equal out tire temps but it doesn't need it. The thing is responsive enough as is.

I've always considered toe out as slowing down a car, but I don't know if Fm4's that accurate. I try to stay at zero front unless it just won't turn in the way I want. But it's a balancing act to be sure.

Yeah I think it does too. Not as noticeable on the A class cars but I think it is in B and especially C and down.

I think as far as temps and camber I'm going to call this RX-8 fine. It has tons of grip, is responsive and runs decent times. It's a little more sensitive to track types but that's in the diff settings. I attribute this to those dumb 19" wheels. This car has the smallest sidewall of any car I've built/tund/raced in Forza. I normally go for a taller sidewall than most.
