We had 26 drivers over two rooms tonight in the btcc and it was lots of fun. It was very easy to setup then I just sent an invite to each driver in my room. Then we raced.
I played with about 5 guys from here in one room today and 3 last night .. In game i ran pretty smooth, in game chat sounds crystal clear . I'm using Astro A50 headphones and the in game sound is absolutely amazing . I can hear online chat thru the headphones, as well as from the Kinect if I have the TV volume up . The only problem that I'm having is just learning the menu options for receiving invites or where to go to join a 2o4F members game in progress. Not able to find join game yet. So basically its just learning the new console and the new in game menu , which is very different from F4. Will give more info as I go along.

I believe you can only join if your in a party with the other players
Lots of talk over there on this. Not a significant peep from T10.
Mods seem to be softly softly at the moment. That will not last. Half the complainers will have moved on by next week, leaving the so called hardcore. I reckon they will be allowed to moan quietly for a week or two and then T10 will pull the trigger on anyone sticking their head over the trench wall.
Truth is the mods have not got a clue. Its clear they were completely in the dark. This is strangely satisfying, watching some of them trying to keep their shit together about something they are fully invested in going AWOL.
Mechberg has posted a couple of " we are listening" replies but that is it.
I played last night in a room with 4 other club guys. If you are in a spot, like racing and can't accept the invite at the exact second it pops up on the screen it can be a bit confusing finding it again. Once I was in the party the chat was clear even when the game was loading. No chop at all.
I wasn't the one setting up the races so I don't know how difficult that was. During the races everything was very smooth, I had one time I got hit with a lag spike but I think that was my wife and kids.
Now one thing I noticed last night that does suck. Switching through the classes can be a problem. Myself I had not bought a second car til last night and that was because we switched from B to D class. I bought another car instead of taking the tune of my current car. Then I bought a tune for the D class car. I suck at tuning so for F5 I hate that you can no longer get free parts after a certain affinity level. This was great in F4 where you could test out tunes without worrying about it.
If the guys had wanted to race in the A or higher classes I would have been stuck with renting a car just to race and not earning anything from it. That just plain sucks.
Well that aspect at least, is cheaper I guess. But it isn't tweakable, so you really get what you paid for it perhaps?
I can see a spreadsheet down the road for tunes if this doesn't change. Also, it looks much more expensive for the tuners to play, as foro the painters I'm guessing, but after the cars bought, you can repaint at no charge all day long. Swapping parts, I doubt, probably have to buy all of em.
I have an issue hearing the other guys in my party...sometimes it show them to not be in "party chat" and when I drop party chat I still can't hear a single fucking person. You're either in the fucking party or you're in the lobby...there is no third option. I raced a couple with Gizzie and Bam, but the whole silent treatment and running a rented RS3 over and over got old quick.
Something I noticed and wanted to pass along is that there is a mute/unmute mic button inside the party menu as well as the one on the controller and they are independant of each other. I assumed that if I was muted in the party chat menu and I clicked unmute on the controller that I would be unmuted, but that is not the case.
Also, don't snap the party menu during a race. I also assumed something here and that was I would keep racing while the party menu slid into view, but no. It pauses the game and if it is a multiplayer game it pauses you while the race continues, obviously.
Jonesy, we started in a set lobby, rs3 VS 1M, but moved to a different lobby after. Looks like in game lobby chat works more reliably than party chat. Will be online later this eve.
Clearly sir, you test me.
IN Fm5, I'm well aquainted with Fm4 and I don't wish to speak of the BTCC.
Has anyone played together with others in Fm5 IN OUR GROUP in a lobby? If so, how many, and how hard was it to accomplish, if it did indeed occur?
Church, stifle it.
I deliberately put it here to get the most exposure Church.
Anyone heard this addressed on the T-10 forums, specifically joing specific lobbies/patching/anything?

Oh and....
POIDSLY reporting from the jungle.
Back to you in the studio.
Yeah, I go over the wall occasionally, but I'm sure I'm on a wanted poster over there...

Ammo, you didn't "buy" any tunes. There is no more SF. Just to avoid any confusion.
Someone just "shared" the tune and you grabbed it from the "shared" area.

Okay I see where that can be confusing. I did not have to pay for the tune itself. Just the 27k in parts that the tune needed.
LOL, the whole "your driveatars a dick" thing is already entertaining as hell, of course I'm not on the track yet...that may change.
well the party chat thing if fucked at the moment
