After dealing with this on the ps3, you'll learn to deal with it xbox fans.
That's a big difference. I wonder what the PS4 is doing differently.
Dedicated chip. I think they call it PlayGo. It pulls just what it needs to get started and streams the rest in the background till the install is full.

To be fair, if you wanted to play any of these games online with the PS4, you would be required to download the patch first. This would effect the time needed to install.
I know what you're saying Pete but I can't think of a patch that took more than 3 min so far for me. That was cod and I think it took me longer to figure out how to make it patch than the dl and install.
Well seeing that I own a XBOX 1, I can clearly state that installation & load times are much slower than on the PS4; however it allows you to play a game while installing it, so if your really into a certain game, your not going to notice at all.
I did this while playing Forza 5, the game took a few minutes to load up, but I was allowed to jump in and start playing, all the while the system was installing.
"XBOX!, MAKE ME A SAMMICH!"
........ didnt work
"XBOX!, MAKE GIRLFRIEND MAKE ME A SAMMICH!"
........ slapped in the face, still didnt work
i guess ill just get it myself.
Well I know the reason why everything was so slow on my XBOX ONE, and Kinect was screwy, turns out I had a defective console; so my friend who's the Manager at my local EB Games, just gave me an entirely new system, and at least this sucker works.
But damn you have to whisper around the bloody machine, my brother was playing Dead Rising 3 and I happened to say something, the machine automatically recognized me and logged me in, which I didn't want to do, and of course you must be 100% precise in your voice commands, for example you can't say "XBOX OFF" or "XBOX SHUT OFF" or "XBOX SHUT DOWN", instead you must speak loud enough and precisely say the following "XBOX TURN OFF", which will prompt a pop up window asking you to say "YES" or "NO" to confirm the command.
