PS4 Sound Issue

On random occasions my Playstation 4 loses all sound after I wake it from standby. The only solution that I have found it to turn the power completely off and on. It doesn't happen often, maybe once or twice every few weeks. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yessir I too have had the same issue. I find if I shut off my T.V. and turn it back on it comes back. I've been holding off on calling SONY tech support to see if this is a rampant issue.

When I start my PS4 there is no sound at all. I have a fairly new TV so definitely its not an issue related t TV. I need to reboot PS4 completely and then it works fine. I am having this problem since i have bought my PS4. Checkout more details from the link.

From what I've read, there is some sort of software HDMI handshaking issue.  You can fix it by just switching the TV input from the PS4 to something else and then back.  I've actually just been booting the PS4 then turning on the TV or doing the input switch to prevent it from happening
