Also after the mega fuck up of last sunday I was thinking of adding 2 more weeks on to the event to offset the points drivers lost and will give them more time to catch up.
Post what tracks people would like to see below. 2 per driver. The first matching 2 tracks will be used!
As max said, some players will be on 15% next week. and with less lag there will be a better experience for everyone.
I know that I do decent times on the rest of the tracks in this series, so hereby the glove is thrown and the top players in room B have to watch out for something blue in their mirrors. ;-) :-)
I got into sim in race 1. I was in the Porche and sim in a FWD car so naturally I was going to blow past him at the start. I was going to split 1st and 2nd but then someone else was coming up behind me and moving over to split them would have pitted me and caused a melee' behind me. So I moved back over but by that time was going WAY faster than sim.
Sorry. With that extra car there wasn't much I could do.
Race 2.....Meh. It was OK.
Race three: moved to first and then Johnny pitted me on a straitaway. LOL
Not sure what the deal was there because I've raced with him plenty of times with no issues. When it happened my immediate thought was oh shit who did I piss off. In any event like I said Johnnny and I have run clean enough times to know that this was an anomaly.
It did take the piss out enough that I just decided to quit out. 1st to 6th was the back breaker.
I've tried the Porsche now, since I wanted to see what's all the fuzz is about. on the tracks I've tried it on I was notably slower than with the Volvo. (Road America & Laguna) if this is because my driving style or not, I have no idea. but is it possible that Silverstone suited the car better than my test tracks? I will test it on Silverstone too today.
The Porsches at Road America with 10% - 15% will struggle slightly. Its a speed track and with a 15% power drop the other cars should catch them down the straight
Cpro, what is your plan for me, room a or b? If you want me in a I'll switch to the Porker, if b probably the Jag XKR-S.
Edit: typo and some target times for Road America:
Mazda RX-8 2:20.648
Jag XKR-S 2:19.306
997 SC 2:16.200
Room B Boss with Bastek!
R/L been real shitty ATM and I have zero energy to turn the box on never mind do the results. They will be done by Saturday as the MASSIVE pain in my ass of a problem should be sorted by Friday.
That's ok - hope this time i will be able to stay connected .... anyway my Subaru donot look so cmpetitive - my best was 1.01.500 - far away from top 57s.
Hope will have a bit of tme to play with spec and setting or choose different car as the last chance to change....
Bastek, quick tips for the Scooby. Set the rear roll bar realy low, in the 5-10 range, this should stop most of the oversteer when converting the car to RWD. Another realy important thing in the Scooby's is shift early, 6000-6500 RPM. These engines have a massive power dropoff at high RPMs. Aim for 2.20 laptimes, it's possible with that car.
I can send you my tune if you wish but I don't know what year mine is (at a guess it's the '05).
Thank You for tips. Will try with rollbar - right now to reduce oversteer i set rear spoiler to max .... and the front one as well as the front like to loose grip - understeer when in long turns but oversteer on the exit .....
Worst thing is that when it starts to swing left-right is difficult to bring it back to stability - mostly clutch helps
I would like to have Your tune to compare - after all of this Forza years i still don't know how to properly tune suspension - springs and shockes (probably i didn't spent enought time to play with different settings to see the difference)

Dont forget that a few of us will be on 15% next week
Also dont forget that both Room A and B drivers where racing together!
We will go back too 2 rooms this Sunday and see how the porcas get on. If they are still too fast I will be reducing the BHP down to 400BHP.
I will also be publishing the results tomorrow and will be moving a few drivers in to diffrent rooms!
I dont mind if Room A is just me, Max, KC, Jonny, Parcels and Fitzy as I know we should have some decent races!
I think we are all running the 911 too.... although it would be all MPR and me lol!!!

Also every new season starts shit lol
Look at the start of BTCC Season two but imo that was the beast season I ever ran!
This shouldn't be any different.

The Porsche is the fastest car in the group. with out a doubt !!!
During the first race at Silverstone National with my BMW 135i i was able to run a 59.2 lap.
In the Porsche i was running a 57.7 at the same track without any drafting.

In the Porsche with a 5% handicap I have been doing low to mid 2.16s.
great - my subaru can do 2:25 ..... is some areas of my iprovement as i can not remember that track.....
Anyway i will try with scooby - when loose - loose in loved car :)
10% been getting 2:17s - 18s

duplicated post
Bastek, tune sent. It's the '04. I've also sent a replay, best lap was 2:22.5xx. 21's Are possible, 20's will be difficult.
Cheers mate - will try to have good use of it - tomorrow i'm going to go sking hopefully that will be not to much time for training.
Checked roll bar - low setting works great. Been playing with gearbox setting to have better use of low range torq
I did 2.21.5xx - looks like can be even better with more practice ...... but far away from 2.17 ......
Anyway by biggest concern is about xlive connection - just want to have race with no lag and no problems connecting.
