[GT6] Looking down the road. Future Series
[GT6] Looking down the road. Future Series
After spending some time running this little car I think it would make a great Series. It's all about carrying your momentum for corner speed because it wont win any straight line battles against another car of the same PP. So here it is...
'95 Suzuki Cappucino (EA21R) Race Car
Parts added:
Carbon Driveshaft
Fully Custom Differential
Stage 3 Engine Upgrade
Oil change/Chassis Rigidity
1kg Ballast
This should bring you to an overall PP of 450 with a Max Power of 123HP and weigh in at 591kg.
Adjustable Components:
Suspension: Free to adjust
Differential: Free to adjust
The Transmission and Aero setting will be locked as with our other current Series Rules. I would be looking to take over an existing time slot. Since SnappyDee has the Rocket's coming I would take over either the VW or the Peugeot time,if the respective host's dont have plans. I could run at a different Day/Time but the weekends seem to work for the majority.
Think it over and post up what you fellas think about it. Build and test the car as well, would like some feedback, cheers!
Sounds interesting. I'll build one up next week and give it a go!
Sounds like fun. And the time slot plans work for me.:)
1) This car was a dream in GT5 so sounds good.
2) What Peugeot event? Did you mean Grimms Saturday Megan trophy series scheduled for 5 weeks? Right after this event may work either taking up the time slot in 5 weeks time or perhaps immediately before/following???
3) 1kg Ballast??? What the fuck? explain yourself good Sir.!
Oops sorry,I guess Grim's car would be a Renault eh,duh. The 1kg ballast brings it to PP450,I did that to fit it into PP class for Track Night. Dont really need it but 450 is a round number.
If ya cant tell I'm a big fan of low HP lightweight cars, something about beating big boys with a Micromachine makes me happy.I have also been looking at tracks for this series.
Silverstone
Motegi
Suzuka
Laguna Seca
Nurburgring GP/F
Seems like a good mix of tracks but I'm open to suggestion. What do you think? Maybe go really small/tight tracks? They would need a pit lane however. BTW I would be using the same tire rules, all R compounds open, and maybe weather. Still a long way off so I'm sure we could hash something out.
I'm the exact opposite....
POWER!!!!!
Zombie, great choice of car! I bought one of these weeks ago and was keeping it in mind for something. I'm so glad that your doing something with it. It's really fun. And, you're right on about small cars. They are great fun. I'll build one to your specs and start running it. Cool.
Awesome!
Parcells seconds that or thirds it if you count Zombies original suggestion.
While I've not kept stats or anything I'm fairly sure the mass majority of awesomely fun and compettitiv races I've had over the years (and there's been many) have been with low HP cars.
Will get one built up ready to go. Pending on time and date im in!
What would you guys think of all races running (in game) from day to night? It would eliminate Laguna Seca but would be happy to replace it with Apricot Hill. With only two major braking points you're pretty much flat out the whole lap. If so whats the proper time setting and progression for a 22 lap race?
You asked so dont be disappointed if you dont hear what you're hoping to :)
I'm against it in respect to ALL races. Racing in the dark is cool and all but I dont see why we have ro run every race in the dark or even wet weather for that matter both of which do not occur in most real world races.
Parcells 2 cents
It really does effect your ability to see your turn in point. Dont worry, there will be no weather in this series. Think I will replace Motegi with Apricot Hill,Laguna Seca is too much fun in this car.
Just ran a 22 lap test race at Apricot Hill. Finished with a half tank of gas and my tires (R soft) were Front 4 and 3. Rear 7 and 5. I had fuel/tire wear set to very fast, made no pit stops and had a default tune. Hmmm, any thoughts?
Sounds like an awful lot of laps to go 20+ laps under "very fast" tire and fuel wear??? You did this race on-line??
Think I'm going to cancel my plans for this series. Being able to run 20+ laps on the very fast settings and not needing a pitstop just turns it into a sprint race and we already have a couple of those type of series in the works. I like the idea of making pitstops, even though it tends to bite me in the ass. Besides I'm sure Grim or someone else has a plan in the works. You can delete or lock this thead, its dead.
Im sure you can come up with something to replace this. As for me, I dont have any plans for another series.
Just checking in to find our whats going on with this. Is it cancelled?
It's dead.
