Well I'm not running out to buy those; I have the Turtle Beach PX4 headset to use with the PS4, and I still have my Sony Pulse Elite headset that will eventually work when Sony gets off their ass and releases an update for the console.
I got talked into getting some Astro 50's on sale. Had to do a firmware update but that was pretty easy. Since then, I am loving them. Yes, they are ridicliously high for a headset - but if they'll last even two years at least - I figure I'm ahead of the game. Got 'em on sale at Gamestop for $220 tax and all. They really are light weight sound monsters. The mic could be a little less sensitive I think but otherwise, I'm not just happy - I'm impressed - which is what you should be after you sink $200 into a set of headphones with a mic. Right?

Another vote for the A50's. I have two pair of headphones connected to one base. Works fantastic with the PS4. I have a receiver with optical out so I pipe all the audio to the A50 transmitter. Nice headphones for watching TV and movies as well.
The PX4 from Turtle Beach is a nice headset; but I really can't wait until Sony releases the update to allow it to become full on Blu-Tooth enabled; right now you have to connect a wire to the bottom on the DS4 controller and the other half to the headset, but the sound quality is pretty good, but I have to adjust my mic while playing games online, there are times my voice is echoing back at me.
I also thought the Sony Pulse Elite headset that I have laying around is fantastic, but that new headset that is to be releases for the PS4 looks really cheaply made.
I just want my blutooth one to work or at least a cheap one like the one that came with the ONE. Sony should be ashamed for the one they included with the system.
Hey dicks! Stop making new headsets and let me use my pulse elites you said would get a fw update in January. There's 1 week left.
They look like crap :/ lol Or is that just me
Heh, looks like the Pulse and the Pulse+ or whatever the newer one is.
Excellent headsets but goofy looking.
I'm sticking with my X12's until they stop working. And yes, they are goofy looking.

How is the PX4? I've heard mixed reviews about it. I've been thinking of picking up a headset but can't decide

The Sony headset looks like a hairband with earmuffs.
I own two sets of A40's. For different locations. The fact that I purchased a second set should say it all.
I prefer the A40's (wires) over the A50’s.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a warp pipe to find . . .
Truly an international woman. Multiple headsets for gaming, one for each location.
If the price is right I am going to buy them.

Yea that garbage earpiece is total crap. I'm glad my old TB X41s work and I have them setup so I can still use on the 360 or PS4.
No bass, flimsy build quality, tinny highs and distorts badly. Had them for a day and returned them. Stay away from these is my recomendation.
