Anyone else lagging badly today? (xbox one)
Trying to take advantage of the double XP today. Played earlier today with no issues, but about an hour ago it was lagging so badly I had to quit. Anyone else having issues? My ping and speed test looked fine from my phone so I dont' believe it's my connection.
I was getting a bit of lag at the start of matches. After a few second though it cleared up other than the odd jitter here and there.
Tried again today and same damn thing. Really sucks!
I had some good gaming this weekend. I didnt notice any lag, but Saturday night the Xbox shut off during a game and turned back on, which looked like it was doing an update. wierd.
I played a bit yesterday and it was fine. I have had DNS issues the past few days though. Currently using Google's free DNS until my ISP gets there issues figured out.
I have given up playing on xbox1 again. Lag is terrible and it seems worse (for me) on european servers than american ones. 360 version runs so smooth in comparison.
Game ran fine for me last night. Even saw Kidbeater in a server.
I tried to hook up with you after the match but you were gone. I know you saw me, you killed me. I thought we 2o2p members had a special bond and that we wouldn't kill each other on the battlefield. lol
Says the guy who killed me first, and then tried to knife me when I spawned on a squad mate in front of him.
I got off after that match.
I kept crashing last time I tried to play on the 360. This really seems to be hit and miss with this game.
Last night on the One, I could not see half of the gamertags on the teams and Battlelog kept crashing me to the dashboard whenever I tried to open it.
Me too. I think the last patch messed up a bunch of things. No gamertags last night. No sound on TDM (first match anyway). I've also had way more hit registration/netcode issues (either bullets not counting or getting killed by someone who is on the other side of a building, and I don't mean just around the corner). And I was trying to play Metro and first I blackscreened out in the middle of the game and then my second match I had the death screen bug where I got forever caught in the death screen. That happened a lot before one of the December patches but hasn't happened (to me) since so I think maybe some bugs got reintroduced?
Yeah, I have noticed issues as well. It seems that of late, right around 9pm est, it starts getting rubberbandy, 2 steps back, etc.. I wind up signing off. The servers seem a litle whack. My Xbox One network diagnose seems fine though with no packet loss. So....0__o?
I haven't had any of those issues. I also don't have any of the DLC. Not sure if the issue is with the new maps.
I don't have any DLC on the 360.
As for the One, I have a feeling they did some server updates that are causing the crashing out or stuck in infinite loops at the deploy screen on top of the regular update. I have had no issues on PC other than the no sound for a match issue on TDM.
I played Metro again tonight (did the F2000 unlock) and in my first game I got the death screen bug three times and had to restart the game each time, so it's definitely effed. In my second game I avoided it by never accepting any revives. It seems to happen either right after a revive or when you die again after a revive. (This is all XB1.)
Now it won't even let me log in to the game or battlelog. Ugh.
Same on PC - EA is having issues.
Yeah just found the link to the server status: http://help.ea.com/en/battlefield/battlefield-4/ all the battlefield servers are down. Damn.
No issues for me either.
I've stopped playing altogether. I have little free time so its precious to me. I can't spend it on a half-broken crashing game. Last game I played on xbox1:
A grenade killed me, then actually expoloded on my kill cam.
I walked towards a door and was killed by the guy on the other side before I got there.
Many times put clips into an opponent only for them to turn around and instantly kill me.
I hear you Ciaran. Last night was so bad I switched to CoD Ghosts. I was getting pissed at the 0 health survivors. I had 3 in a row where I died and there health was 0 on the kill screen. Next match, I was filling guys with bullets but not getting hit markers. Those seem to be the 2 biggest things I am running inro on the One other than the odd boot or no loading of the next match.
For some reason in Australia it is always laggy!! I feel like I am on a ruber band on steroids :-(
I'm on extended Battlefield leave for now. There's no point playing if it's not fun.
Huge lag last night on Hainan Resort. Another member of my squad was rubber banding. Other than playing for the Battle Pack each day, I'll be on Ghosts for a while I think.
What servers do you usually play on? I play on the US East and West servers and rarely ever run into what you guys are describing. I think the game is fun as hell
I'm in Ireland so I play on European servers only. I've been told that they are physically located in Ireland so I thought that would be an advantage if anything. I don't encounter anything like the same problems on 360 I have to say.
Yeah, the 360 seems to run a lot smotther since the last update but, I haven't played that on ein a while.
I play on whatever servers my friends are on. Lately it's been Us East and West.
Xbone version has been running pretty good for me since the weekend I made this post. I'll get some lag here and there of course.
I played last night on xbox1 and it ran perfectly! First time I felt like I was playing the game properly. Good times!

Maybe scratch that, last night I got dashboarded 2 out of 3 games so I played Titanfall instead.
