Newest Xbox One Update
I feel like this is something that not everyone knows but the new update is suppose to make the controller a little less sensitive/twitchy. The update alone doesn't do this directly though. You need to:
Plug your controller into your X1 with a USB cable
Press start at the dash
Go to settings
Go to system
Press "Update controller"
Thanks!
Yea you have to do this with each controller. Luckly its really quick.
So the controller has a memory component, or are they flashing something on the board inside, OR is that the same thing and I'm in over my head?
I believe if you have the adapter - if you connect it and then plug the controller in it should start automatically.
Cant find my USB cable anywhere, shit!
It's the same cable most non Apple phones use to be charged with.
I noticed it felt better on forza after I updated the controller. Was ready to bin forza before but now I like it it's not perfect but better.
They added Dolby Digital Surround to the optical connection. That alone makes the update worthwhile.
Used my plug and play cord for the battery charge. Thanks again
Not nearly as good as Forza 5 with the TX wheel, GTE rim and T500 pedals.
Not all of us are rich and can play every race sim out there in a realistic cockpit setup, sir. ;)
Who said anything about being rich? I think you are taking my comment out of context. Snappy is currently evaluating the purchase of a TX wheel.
Putting Snappy aside, if you compare sim racing to other hobbies, including golf, football tickets, cars and travel, none of which I do for fun, it is dirt cheap. Going to one NFL game up in Seattle would cost me more than the TX wheel I bought in December. Eating a good meal at a restaurant cost me more than the T500 pedals I recently bought from a guy on iRacing. My iRacing yearly membership, after applying participation credits, costs less than the last case of beer you bought when you got off work last Friday.
I think you should think twice before making assumptions about anyone's financial situation, including mine.
I think it is you who are misunderstanding ME. I was just joking around, that's why I added the wink. Also, I don't drink.
Dude, you gotta use the smiley face feature.
Sides that plenty of people on controllers beat him every day... well, weekly maybe...
If you participate in official races 8 out of the 12 weeks of a season, you get a set iRacing account credit for that series, up to a maximum of $10 per season. I usually meet that requirement for at least 4 official series per season, and so I always get the maximum $10 credit per season. There are four seasons per year, which means I get $40 of participation credit for year. On top of that, I get a $5 credit just for being a member for an entire year, for a total of $45 in participation credits per year. I take advantage of the regular special iRacing has to renew for a year at 50% off, which totals $50. Essentially that means my yearly iRacing net cost is $5 per year, which is nonetheless more than Nightfall's beer cost, since he doesn't drink.
Smart of them, kinda increases the participation/amount of people on the track because they're saving a buck.
iRacing.
The first time I tried it I had a hard time and couldn't get into it. This second time I am absolutely loving it. Getting those participation credits isn't difficult either since there are always races going on. It really accommodates any type of RL schedule.
This is exactly why iRacing is my #1 sim. I can do one of my preferred types of races essentially 24/7.
