If one of you Vette guys want it I have a simple version of the Corvette Racing skull that looks badass IMO. I can send it over if interested.
Also if anyone else is interested in a tune let me know. I'm finally starting to get the hang of eeking out the last bit of speed out of this Panoz and I have a nice easy to drive tune for the BMW and the Jag as well.
That Jaguar has potential. The easiest to drive car of the lot IMO.
Just curious... What did the test times show about how these cars compare? They don't seem very evenly matched in lap times. I may be wrong so please forgive me. I only ask because I don't have time to test them all.

Who does have time to test them all ?
I don,t and it will typically take some time to get the best out of one type of car.
The 4.01.xxx of the Ferrary makes me doudt, but thats part of the Game.
Teasing each other a litle.
Maybe secratly test it out. Dont tell anyone.
Afterall it still may turn out to be the driver not the Car that has to be tuned.
Snappy, I tested everything at Indy, and found the Porsche fastest, but in my hands a tad unpredictable, followed by the Ferrari and then the BMW, both just a hair off the Porsche and much more consistent, and the Vette fell in 4th. Now, as for LeMans, it's apples n oranges, so, take what you will from it, and it's just my driving, so that's ceratinly affecting everything too i'm sure. But that's what I found, for me, and based my choices on. I don't think the Porsche wiould hold up on top end at LeMans, but it's just one track.

Indy is a great track but its not on the list for this series. I tested your Ferrari at Le Mans. Well, the one you have in the club garage. I figured it might have the tune you were using. The PI number matched. I did a 4:07.5xx on the second lap of two. My best to that point in the Ford had been nearly the exact same time. I went back and drove my Ford and managed a 4:06.5xx. No where near some of the times posted here. Would you mind testing my Ford at Le Mans? It's the EcoBoost #93 in the garage. Thanks.
I agree with you on the Porsche. It will get eaten up on the long straights at Le Mans.
All the cars have very different strengths. The BMW is fast but very loose and twitchy in the turns. The Jag and viper are very stable and in turn quick through the turns. The 458 is Ok in the turns and Ok on the Straights 911 good in the turns Okish on the Straights. Vett is Ok on both.
So it boils down to the driver and the track. Everyone needs to pick a car they are comfortable with. But all the cars are not that far out. Some tracks suite done cars other tracks others. You really need to pick the car you like and have s good tune in her.
It was the same when I did the GT Open. All the cars over the season are really balanced. If anyone needs a tune let me know.
I'd agree here... one track, one race... is just that. Heck, one spinout and it's all scrambled anyway... it happens... Over a season, we'll all be scrambling to try to beat (fill in blank) who seems to be doing better on track (fill in blank)... I know I'm going to get left for dust at LeMans... but when we get to some others, I'm hoping to fair better... etc...

It's why we race... :)
To get the best time over 2 ours is somthing else than over 1 lap.
Maybe a litle less agressive setting is going to help in the second pard of the race.
Is it allowed to switch drivers half way the race ?
Team Rookie Racing: We've not settled on one car, but wonder if we will... ? Same with colors... if you like red on white, s'cool... I'll change mine to white with red LeMans stripes... I dunno how to post pics on here yet, especially of cars outta the game (shows I'm a rookie at more than just the wheel :) Juan likes to paint too... so... this sound like an idea? Some of the other teams are posting pics, getting paints done...

enjoy all... it is a game :)
I was occupied this today hope the ring racing was good.
Team Rookie is brand new. Only a few teams do have all the same type of Car.
If you changed the Car like you say please send the design.
I would like to match up the design.
Over the weeks I hope we can finisch of a design we all like.
Hope Juan has some input too.
I have to figure out myself how to show a picture of a car or small race fragment.
I did not try to do that it must be strait forward thing to do.

Martin.
i posted 3 pics of mine on my storefront, 2 similar schemes. I don't know how to get it from there to here... yet... Took a shot anyway...
I'm mid pack at best anyway so I'm not too worried because it looks like there will be some serious racing going on in that group. I do have to admit: I fear that BMW. It is an absolute Beast. The Jag is a monster. In the right hands, they are both very very fast.
I'm going to look through the garage and see if any of the other cars are in there. I also drove Juan's Ferrari but I'm not sure if the tune applied to it was for this series. I found it to be loose.

best I can do is 4:18 in the Ford. If I sent the tune (or car?), take you up on tune offer? I've gotten good with yer tunes :)
thx
i tried sending car, but can't. We're not friends, and your friend list is full so can't add.
if ther's another way to ship car, lemme know... S'ok tho...
fyi: I'm running 4:25's in Porsche, Bmw, and 458... I know it's the driver... Ah well, it's a game :)
Thx
Just don't back into me Fitzy! I know how you are.
The Vette is not bad but the driver, OMG. Best I've done is 4:05.8... ugh LMAO.
Some photos of Because Race Team.

My vote is split between don't change the pit stop rules or use Martin's two stops then lose one idea.
Lets keep the rules simple and not do a mid race extra pitstop...

So my grandsun will drive when I strech my legs.
If no who is going to check that.
That's my ferrari/tune. but it's not set up for leMans, more for handling. IE there's a lot more top end in her with tweaking.
True, one track one race. I'm at least 6 seconds off pace at the green light. I'll take as a challenge.
Wonder what the pase will be, for me around 4.06.xxx just a litle less agressive that max.
I asume the best wil do around 2 to 4 seconds better.
We will see.

@Snappy: Those handicap pitstops might help us a bit.
