I just got a promotion at work, so I might be able to treat myself very soon now I'm thinking...and with the announcement of the Road America track addition(FM5), I'm actually a bit eager now.
still $60 off, if you were planning to get Titanfall. Nice.
Odd they aren't including the Titanfall controller though.
A lot of people are saying that about the controller.
The XB1 doesn't have any kind of special treatment. I probably wouldn't have waited for this deal. Little chance of it arriving for release day, around here.
Those waiting for Digital surround sound from their XB1's TOS Link output to wireless surround headsets, should get it as soon as next week. Apparently, those on the March update preview already have it.

Heck, I just figured out how to force it over HDMI last night. I didn't realise they changed it so you could leave the HDMI in auto for video output and manually pick which audio stream you want over it. Before, they were both auto or both manually chosen. Don't know when this happened.
Microsoft revealed today that a YouTube app update — which is rolling out tomorrow — will streamline how to upload game clips to the service.
"We’re rolling out an update to the YouTube app on Xbox One that integrates Game DVR and Upload with YouTube, making it easier than ever to capture and share game clips with the world," Microsoft said in a press release. Game DVR and Upload Studio are reportedly two of the most used apps on Xbox One, and the YouTube app update supposedly makes sharing game highlights as simple as a button click to upload to a user's YouTube channel.

Someone said it'll never happen..... please allow me to say, I told you so.
Xbox one without Kinect June 9th $399.99
I'm not trying to start an arguement and I don't know who you're quoting but, the reason that people, including myself, thought it would never happen was because MS was very firm on the fact that they would never offer the X1 w/o the kinect. I'm glad they went back on that though cause now I actually want one. I did not like the idea of having no choice (if I really wanted the system) but to spend extra money on a peripheral that I would never use.

And that is exaclty why you shouldn't believe everything you hear.
Just before lunch I read an article where Lebron James said he would not play basketball next year if Donald Stirling still owns the Clippers. I'm sure today Lebron beleives this to be true but seriously??? No way in hell that happens!
the moral of the story is, no one knows what a company will do until they see how the market reacts.
I still think it's an awful idea not to include it. Now no one will code for a peripheral they don't know 100% of the install base owns. So anyone with a Kinect that wanted to use it for something other than dashboard voice commands get screwed.
What if Nintendo bundled the NES with the Power Glove, and the system cost $100 more because of it? Kinect had potential but it was clearly holding the Xbone back. Another comparison is 3d TVs; some people really, really like them, but the majority of people have no interest in paying more for a TV that makes them wear shitty glasses (especially if you already wear glasses, like me.) The bottom line is, the market said "no thanks" after seeing a demo of it with the 360 and comparing a $400 to $500 price point between Sony and Microsoft. Microsoft knew they had to trim the fat to stay relevant.

did you say the market didn't like the 360's Kinect? Because it sold like hotcakes. like 30 million purchased, for only 80 million 360's (and some were probably replacements). And that was 5 years after the 360's launch.
The NES did launch with R.O.B. However Kinect is amazing tech, while R.O.B. did only two games and sucked. The NES also packed in the Zapper which was even more one-note.

It sold like hotcakes when it was introduced because people like me actually believed it would be awesome. After using it, I like many others, felt it wasn't as terrific as M$ told us(much like the current kinect) How many people who bought the hype the first time actually used the thing....I gave mine to my son.

Did we know this for sure already?
Storage, no longer a problem, at a price of course.
I think it's been known, though I don't know how well known, that external drives and flash drives would be supported.... just not at launch
To those of you who have shown true patience, rewards this way cometh. TITANFALL has been announced as part of an XB1 promotion. $499.99.
http://news.xbox.com/2014/02/games-titanfall-special-edition-bundle
It's not what I'd call a special edition but there are savings there I wish I'd waited for, if it is even available in Canada.

I'm glad it doesn't look different - it's an A/V box. I don't think it should look like a toy. I hate themed boxes, they're childish.
In other news:
http://consumerist.com/2014/02/23/netflix-agrees-to-pay-comcast-to-end-s...
I KNEW I wasn't crazy and Netflix did in fact suck on X1 since launch.
It's not the X1, it's shitty ass Comcast. I currently have HTC and haven't noticed any issues with Netflix on my X1.
right, that's what I was saying.
Twitch streaming arrives in time for TITANFALL.

Now this is a useful update.
I have to hand it to them, they are always improving. Been almost 6 months and it has changed a lot.

Oops, didn't see your post.
Once I see the price of the sensor, mine will go on the open market for less.

I got tired of dusting mine...it's been used less than 5 times.
