Friday night fun runs 4/11
Was thinking about running a room on Friday. 500 PP, Race tires, Tuning allowed, Areo allowed but not necessary.
I really don't care what aids you want to run. This is just to get some guys together and race.
We will start at 8pm CST and end when everyone leaves.
5 laps at tracks that I want, or you want.
Have patients it will be my first time running a room. \
You can sign in here or just show up, but I would like to know how ya feel about this idea.
In the following weeks we can raise the PP, but thats later.
I'll be there Jimmy. Will try to get a few cars together that are close to that pp.

I have to apoligize but I am not going to be able to host this tonight. My health problem has reared its ugly head and it hurts right now to sit at all. This thing is giving me fits. I am going to through with this next week as long as I can to sit. I was a bit to active today and now paying for it.

Thanks Wheels, this is going on 6 months now and the Doc's still don't understand why or what is going on.
Jimmy...Stay positive and hopefully someone very soon will have a epiphany diagnosing your symptoms and put you on a path to recovery.
Yea sounds like a pain in the ass, but I'm sure you will overcome this and get back to normal for your sake and your familys.

I'll get down on some racing. I need a lot more seat time anyways. I don't know how many nights I'll make, Fridays are hit or miss for me.
Sorry Jimee, I just now saw this thread. I haven't really been paying much attention to the GT6 area here. I'm not really into any series due to my lack of skill in GT6. I still have a long ways to go to get up to speed with the competition...

Driveby have you looked into the adapter for the xbox controller for PS3. I looked at it, 20 bucks on Amazon. May still get one just in case the wheel craps out.

I broke out the old wheel I have. its about 15 yrs old, I think. I am still trying to catch up.
I have the adapter right now. I got one when I got the PS3, but I still need to get a wired controller in order to use it. The wired controller is on hold right now because I have to buy motorcycle parts...

oh ok. I used a wire controller when on F4 liked the inputs better than the wireless.

IDK man. Do those controllers have triggers? I couldn't go back to a controller like PS2. How are the bumpers on those cars? I'm sure your using them hard Jimmie, doh.

Et Tu Stewies....Hoping that somehow we can all get together again...My thoughts on Forza have been documented enough...Even so if Fanatec gets their head out of the sand and gets out a product that would be compatible with a least a couple renditions of Forza I would pull the trigger. Putting out $$$$ for a product only to see the arrogance of Microsoft has turned me off..At least with Playstation I can still use my Elite Wheel with the Clubsport pedals plus headset with only the outlay ($$$$) of the game itself. Plus personally I think Grand Turismo will overtake if not already Forza. I believe Forza has left a Bad Taste in a lot of people's mouth in the path they chose to take..... I think with Spring and Summer here the times allocated to racing games will be sporadic. My open times now will most likely be during the week nights. I have succeeded in getting the bulk of my yard work and small projects done.

My wife's work schedule has been changed and I doubt I will make many of these as Friday and Saturdays are her off days now. Would love to have an actual series mid week (wednesdays) perhaps for a NA series if there was enough interest. Im a bit gun shy about setting one up due to lack of interest.

I don't know about the bumpers yet, I havn't done much racing online to really check them out, but the horn is awsum.
3G I was hoping you could get in on this but alas it's not to be this time around. I don't know about a dedicated series yet. The clan just seems to be to fragmented right now to get anything serious going. That is why I went with this style of racing. Its more of a testing of tunes for everyone and nothing serious.
I will ask the guys that show up about running this style race during the week and see what happens.

Thanks to Driveby, Wheels, and Burnt for showing up tonight. The racing was good and the company was better. It was interesting to see what cars was used. Wheels made the lotus run very quick at Tsukuba. Driveby made a grocery getter (station wagon) unbeatable at Grand Valley. Burnt beat us at toyoko with a Magane Trophy. Good choice of cars. I got beat at every track so I have to get a better choice of cars. ;)
We talked this over and the suggestion was made to move this to Wed. night and so we shall. It will be the same format as this.
A schedule of tracks is not going to happen, just what ever strikes my/your fancy.
This is a great chance to test/share tunes on different tracks just to see what is what. I do encourage the sharing part.
I hope to see more guys on Wed.
