Word of warning, DO NOT try and overtake me in the lefthander after the esses, leading up to Degen 1 or the righthander leading up to Spoon. I need all the road there just to keep the pollished side up.
If I drop from the race tonight it's just me being frustrated, never mind and carry on. See you on track.
So I guess SND isn't one of the inner circle here that can win races regularly in Room A without getting shit on. When I complained that a certain someone was regularly going wide into the run off on turn one of Hockenheim it was laughed off as "oh that's the Churchline" (no offense meant Church) . Now SND cuts the chicane and he loses all points plus an additional penalty. Well as his teamate I think I have to say that f'n stinks.
I just spent an hour watching the replay and took photos of others doing exactly the same thing that i have been acused of and while we were all bunched up for the most part of the race nobody ever mentioned any thing about it.
But all is ok - i guess that is the way she goes around here.
SND found took pics of a few examples of others making similar driving moves he is being penalized for. I'm not sure who made the judgement but I request a neutral party review the replay to confirm SND drove in a way to warrent this extreme penalty.
Although we try not to enforce too many rules in this forum we have to sometimes penalize drivers when there is a need too.
The replay was looked at by a panel of stewards, who always view replays on a neutral basis, where it was agreed upon SND was constantly cutting the last chicane gaining approximately 1 second per lap based on his clean lap times, thus resulting in a disqualification from that race plus an extra drive through penalty for the next race.
Even though the pictures posted show of other drivers cutting a corner, it is not excessive and does not gain much time in doing so. Going wide at 130R does not gain hardly anytime at all, if anything it loses time as the car is unsettled going over the kerbs twice and the speed at the braking point of the chicane is lower.
Any further discussions about this topic please do so in a PM to those concerned and keep this post on topic for the GT2.
Hock isnt until this week as it is. I believe this was from another event church.
*<<Racing Lines and Corner Cutting>>*
Gents I don't like having to do things like this however after sunday's race I feel it is neccessary to clear this up. ANY Driver caught to be corner cutting or racing a wide line to gain advantage on any track persistently, (this does not mean a one off occasion where a driver under race conditions may run wide or accidentally turns in early) will be disqualified from the race and if continued will be disqualified from the series.
Hockenheim has a large run off space on the first corner, if you use this area to gain an advantage you will be penalised.
Also please familiarise yourself with rule numbers 2 and 12.
With regard to complaints from other events and how people have driven and not been spoken to about their driving that is not my problem as I have not been in charge of the series or event.
I do not like being made out to be in favour of this so called 'inner circle'. I am not part of any circle, I come to race, like all of us. I'm sorry if this comes accross as blunt but I am not here to be accused of favouritism.
I agree with that rule but not everyone is held to it.
IMO the penalty imposed on SND is way over the top considering others were doing similar turns on multiple laps. He is realtively new to this group, nobody has ever complained that I know of about how he races before. The shenanigans I've seen in Room A that are laughed off makes this total hypocrisy. Anyway, as Team DBBQ we are withdrawing from the series but may run some races as individuals when I cool down.
My apoligies to you Snoop I wasn't talking to you in particular.
For the first half of the race we were all in a tight pack and not one person mentioned anything about not cutting a corner. A simple reminder or warning would have been sufficient.
I figured that if the others can do it why can`t i. The proof is in the photos and replay. A rule is a rule - whether you cut the corner once or ten times the same penalty applies period.
What pissed me off is that this crap has been going on for a while and Since i work in the racing industry and am often around race tracks i know how the rules work.
I did not cut that chicane on every lap and some of the times it was only because i was having issues with online handling. All is well i guess some are impervious to any rules.
Also it might not be apparent but in the photos those are two different cars cutting the chicane
Ok, so i wasnt going to post this here but as this topic of conversation is still on going and certain people want to do this in the forum and not in PM here are the 2 comparisons in which we are talking about and why the penalty was enforced.
And yes i know which one of the BMW's is mine.
The first picture shows the car cutting the corner but you still have to brake as much as you are still taking an apex, the gain is small.
The second picture not only shows a car cutting a corner but it has completely straightened the corner out, the entry speed is considerably faster which can be carried across the grass and tarmac area. This has also placed the car into a good position to take a later apex on the last part of the chicane to enable a greater exit speed. Basically it has turned a chicane into an S bend.
Apex speed for picture 1 = 50mph
Apex speed for picture 2 - 64mph which results in a 1.1 second advantage per lap
Fyi: I've got a Tournament the next 2 Sundays, so might not make those races. However, if they call a day for weather, I may make it. I know we all have stuff at times, so just a courtesy note.
Raod America this week. I know it's one of your favorites. Come out if you can.
Also one of Parcells favorites so if its OK with the race organizer Parcells would like to join this weeks race and if allowed I promise not to ruin any of the regulars races.
I suppose I need a car to drive so could someone send me a tune assuming I get the go ahead to participate? Thanks.

Me too! Great 3rd race with a win for Honda Yuasa and Shedden. I will be there at Thruxton in 2 weeks. Looking forward to that!
Bring on the race!
Thanks for the competitive race today.
The challenge was a good thing in my case as it kept me on my toes.
Happy Easter to one and all.
Max don't even get me started on the cheating Git Sheddon is. So angry

It is good that you can debate about these rule´s, and view the video.
Probably can´t convince everybody what is O.K. and wat is not.
I did also go over the line, according to my wive racing to much not even iligaly passing any iligal racing line.
She does not bother to much about that.
I try to understand her way of thinking but solving the debate about the sicane will prove to be easy comparde to that.
I am sure some of you did have the same experiance.
Looking forward to a good night sleep on the sofa.
I could not agree more Seeker.
