XB1 Nyko Charge Base on sale for $18
The Microsoft Store is selling the Nyko Charge Base for $18. I have one I've used for a few years with my 360 and it's very convenient.
I don't have the XB1 yet, but I might go ahead and buy this since it's regularly $30.

About the same price but these are much higher quality batteries than what comes with any play and charge kit. (These are the best rechargeable AA batteries on the market) They will last longer between charges and you will get 3,600 recharges out of these 4 batteries, if a pair of AA's lasts you a week these batteries will outlast however long we will be playing on the XB1 by far. Plus, you can use them in other things like remotes, flashlights, and battery powered shavers.
I just wonder if they will hold up for those 1800 cycles amd provide decent use time towards their end of life. I hope the charger holds up too. Do you know if these are overly fat? I have 2400maH that are a bit tough to get the battery cover over on an X1 controller. I may try a pack with my charger. I use rayovac slow discharge now.
Not sure about the included charger. If you only use rechargeable batteries (you should be, that use once and throw away shit is bad for the environment) you really should invest in a decent charger. Nothing crazy but even a $30 charger is much better than included chargers from all of the companies (Energizer, Sanyo, Duracell, etc.). The included chargers charge batteries as a pair, meaning if the two cells you are charging aren't at the same level you could end up overcharging one of them and ruining their life span. A decent charger will charge batteries on an individual basis and keeps them much healthier.
The mAh of an AA doesn't change it's size. AA *is* the size, they should all be the same. I sometimes have issues getting my battery cover on too. Not that you can't get it on but that it just doesn't go on super smooth right away.
Also, the higher the mAh of a battery the less number of recharges you will get out of it before it stops accepting a recharge, in general.
I have some eneloops that I use with my camera and they really do work great. I'd be using them in my controllers if I hadn't already been spoiled to the charge base.
Also, I can't say I've noticed any issues with the size of these when compared to other AA batteries.
