Thank you

Its been a pleasure guys had some good times but I need to stop doing this to myself.

The racing for me is no good here anymore. I'm to slow for KC and Jonny so for the past 9 races I have done i've been hot lapping. Not good.

I know a lot of people race and never win and would be happy with a 3rd place or 2nd place finish every time but the fact I know I will never win kills me.

Anyway my disk is now inoperative. Been some good good times lads.

Cheers

Well I know you are heading to the dark side with Comp racing. I wish ya all the luck with that. I enjoyed competing with and against you.

Well, I never actually quit. RL schedule just messes things up. I work at night when most of you guys are racing. Plus, about 13 months ago I had a baby boy. He's 14 months now but still a handful.

That also coincided with GT6 and FM5 splitting a lot of us up. iRacing has races every hours of the day and since I already had a PC I gave it a second chance. It's pretty awesome. Not everyone's cup of tea but I'm enjoying it and would recommend it to certain people here.

Then, sprinkle on that the fact that: my Fanatec doesn't feel right any more. It's got a very notchy feel to it now. So, I went ahead and got the TX wheel...figuring that I had the Xbone and PC so it would be the best fit.

Anyway: no hard feelings. Just figured I'd let y'all know what's up.

No hard feeling to anyone moving on to other games or in life. I've been round here for quite some time now and seen alot come and go for all sorts or reasons. I've also seen them come back too. Good luck with the pc racing Church. If you think you've seen aliens on the console racers you will see some really good ones online in the pc world. For me it's been good competition, good racing, good conversations and lots of fun. Winning was always a real bonus for me since I'm middle of the road racer. There will always be someone faster, always. The kings get knocked off sooner or later eh. Good luck to Snappy also, hope you get real enjoyment in your races in the future too.

Yeah need to clear up somethings. Not PC racing yet as I don't have a PC to race on. It's not the winning that gets me mad it's the fact I sit 500ft behind KC and Jonny and 500ft in front of 4th. This is very very boring. I am now a lot more involved in the real BTCC that I every thought was possible so most of my time is been pumped into that. You can find me on Facebook and the BTCC Fan Group (officially the biggest BTCC group online). No hard feelings I just need some close racing and the chaps who are at my skill don't race anymore.

This I think will be the best for the group. Also if your not interested in running the group anymore snappy brnt can sort the USA side of things and Max can have my spot for the EU side of things.

Two new leaders is possibly what the group needs to move forward. I will however stay as a racer only. Not worrying about the site etc and just concentrating on the races I can do might be for the best.

I completely understand Church.  I had a great time racing on Forza 1, 2, 3, and 4.  Had an especially great time racing with the guys here at 2O4F.  I still race with some of the guys I met here.  I just wanted more sim in my Sim racing.  My racing now is strickly on PC and mainly iRacing.  It's definitely not for everyone, but it works for me.  I am completely hooked on iRacing.  I have joined a league there called Old Bastards.  It's a lot like this group.  A bunch of guys who just want clean close races.  They have a few aliens, a bunch of middle pack racers, and some slow guys.  But everyone has fun because the racing is clean.  I'm usually watching the aliens disappear while I have good battles in the next group behind them.

So the main point is to find what works for you and what you get the most enjoyment from.  We are all just playing a game right, so why play it if you aren't having fun?  If I have fun doing it, I keep doing it.  When it stops being fun, I quit doing it.  Simple

I agree with Troy, except for his statement that he is not one of the aliens.  The guy is fast, very fast.  He regularly places in the top 5 in the Indy car series in iRacing, both the races, as well as qualifying and time trials.  What is most impressive though is that he is having so much fun.  And so am I.  I did five official series races in iRacing yesterday and even that was not enough.

Ok, I will agree that I am an alien in the IndyCar oval series.  But that is it.  The car just works for me.  I have most of my wins with that car.  I really like the fixed setup series because it is all about the driver with everyone having the same setup.  Last season I had my best achievement to date winning the overall IndyCar oval fixed series Time Trial Championship.  #1 in the world.  It was a hard fought championship which came down to the last day of the season.  I beat the second place driver by only 1 point.

As for any other series, I consider myself just a decent clean racer.  I am usually watching the aliens disappear in front of me while staying just ahead of the mid pack drivers.
