Playstation now beta prices.

Yes. You must pay to play games in the beta. Here are the current prices. 4 hours =$5 7 days =$10 30 days =$15 90 days =$30 It is difficult to justify these prices for playing PS3 games where you can buy them for much cheaper. 4 hours for $5? Yeah, those prices seemed wrong so I fired up the private beta. Some of the prices are right, some games are lower (I think the lowest I saw was $2.99) but they can gtfo either way. The service will fail untill they come up with a Netflix style all-you-can-eat model.

I kinda wanted to play the Adventure Time game but I'm not paying that price.

I agree.  If it isn't subscription based it will fail before it starts.

Very true. I don't think the model they are using will be successful in the long term. They probably went this route so they don't have to pony up the money up front like Netflix does.
