how long did it take to download n whos down tonight
I've been downloading for 6 hoisn at only 58% I'm worried that it's not even going to be done by the time midnight comes around it only took Madden an hour to download I don't understand what's taking so long did any of you have the same problem also who down for coop on hard I wont have much time to play this week want to get a good 3 hours in
It's a ~18GB download. Time taken depends on many things.
Chances of getting to play before 12:00PM PDT (3AM EDT) are slim. I'm waiting until tomorrow unless the game-download unlocks well before midnight local tonight.

well now im rethinking my stratagy. prolly gonna goto bed at midnight and wake up at 3 am to play. you can bet i wont be doing this again. the fact that i dont have a physical product in my hand is enough reason to never do it, but not being able to play at midnight...... well fuck that!!!!!!!! im never gonna miss out on the fun of a midnight release party again.

Disks are no more playable than digital downloads for now. Maybe I'm wrong on that.
Servers are up so I'd imagine a disc will play just fine.
How come I don't see one friend playing Destiny yet then? Somebody must have an early copy.
Don't know but there are streams on Twitch.

Does it matter? Reviews were pushed back to have reviewers play amongst the unwashed anyway. They didn't open servers for reviews only.
I have 1 person that played 2 hours ago. He's in NYC and gets his stuff from a mom and pop shop iirc.
well id imagine that anybody going to get a disc isnt home yet and there is prolly a download before you can play
I just got back. The line was loooong. There must have been a couple hundred people. Update is dl'd and ready to go.

Got my discs from game stop at midnight central. Took 30min or so to install and update. Then Driver and one of my sons were on. Hard copy let us play at midnight.
Was pleasantly surprised, they actually turned on the game at 0301 just like they said they would for the digital version. I finished the last story mission on the moon a little after 7, I'm kinda concerned about the length of the rest of the game. That's 2 of the 4 planets done in one sitting. I didn't see any side quests and don't think I skipped anything.
Did you play with people or something to do some of the bigger missions? Or just play with randoms.
Played with friends the entire time. And that included time searching around for dead ghosts and those pointless chests with 30 glimmer and a spinmetal in em.
