Vault of Glass Raid
I'd like to get a group together for this weekend. If there is enough interest, we can get multiple groups going. I would prefer to organize groups by clan in order to get the "Raiding Party" achievement but we'll see how things work out. Please reply with your interest and class. Level 26 will be required.
Like many, I am still working on getting my final raiding gear. I will be grinding out my final marks for upgrades this week and am targeting the weekend for a raid so I can (hopefully) buy some exotics from the agent of the nine before the raid.
A few notes on preparation:
- Character builds. If you haven't worked on your alternate subclass, please work on unlocking subclass items that will help the group. Do some research on builds, we will need to focus on builds that help/buff the group as a whole. For example, my main is a Titan, I want to make sure I have unlocked and equipped a damage buff for all my teammates and an orb generation mechanic.
- Consumables. It wouldn't hurt to spend some glimmer on some ammo refills. Just in case.
- Gear. Obviously it would be good to have as much gear as possible. It's time to engage in the most pleasant MMO task, gear grinding.
- Research. I know many people don't want to preview content. If you don't care, please review the fights before the raid. I know we are all on limited time so we don't want to spend hours figuring things out from scratch. Right?
I would love to, but I'm stuck at 21 at the moment.
Titan Striker at 26.5 (with Defender subclass about half done)... Also working on a Warlock Sunsinger, now at nearly 20.

Level 27 (just shy of 28) Warlock Voidwalker with most of the Sunsinger subclass unlocked too
level 27 Warlock but should be 28 by then. I suggest not watching the vids. Game tells you what you need to do.
Scratch that, I'm now a level 28 :)
Working on this. Still a lvl 24 Titan, so I may not be ready for this go around. But once I am high enough level I will be all over this. Thanks!
Finished the raid again, got the same sniper rifle I got last week and 9 ascendant shards, so disappointed.
Went and did a level 22 strike with a buddy, got an exotic assault rifle. Stupid ass raid.
Made it to final boss but couldn't seal the deal. I think we all were getting tired. We even had people on the team that have beaten the raid multiple times. One claimed in about 2 hours.
I will be game for this eventually, still need to get to level 26!
FYI, I'll be looking for people Saturday night for this. I know this isn't the best time but I'd like to get a run in before the Tuesday reset if we have enough people. My thoughts is that Raid night would be Tuesday night going forward unless a better night presents itself.
I'm at 26.5, would like a better shotgun but other than that I'm as ready as I'm likely to get. I'll work on Sun Singer stuff this week and try to add some buffs, but my voidwalker tree is complete.

They claim to have had other sub 60 minute runs.

I would love to do a raid night Tuesdays are fine with me. 27 Titan. Striker maxed. Defender nearly so.
Bubba already does half damage so that'll be quarter damage for him.
I laugh at danger. Trying real hard to avoid spoiling the first trip in too. I want to be just as uninformed as the first Fireteams who tried. After that I might look for help.

I'm 25.5 and will be pushing to 26 tonight. If I get there im in. I'm with Bubba. OG this shit.
I'm up for raids (if we can pull it off under 4-5 hours) ... I am level 27 hunter, close to 28. Set a time, I am on most weekday/nights and weekends depend on whats around.

Thanks for everyone who participated. We made it as far as I had hoped. Sorry to all those who wanted in but for whom we didn't have space. Anyone who was disappointed you didn't get to run should consider setting up a second group!
How far did you get?
We one-shot the entrance but it took a while for us to get the process down. We killed the templar after many wipes but I thought we progressed pretty fast. Once we got the mechanics down we had him to 20-25% a few times before putting together a good attempt to down him. We got to the gorgon's labrynth, found one chest but missed another. We'll find it tonight before moving on to the final boss. It's challenging until you understand what you need to do, but I can see how top teams are making 1 hour speed runs.
