Questions for FM5/FH2
With the recent price drop I picked up an XBox One yesterday along with Forza5 GOTY edition and Horizon 2. I'm trying to figure out what DLC strategy I should take. For all intents and purposes I know what all the cars are for FM5 and there's only one DLC pack so far for Horizon. Just trying to figure out what DLC strategy I should use. I could very easily run my credit card bill up buying cars.
Are there any DLC cars in FM5 you have now that you wished you had for career mode when the game was released?
Any suggestions on how best to train my Drivetar so he's not a complete asshat when you race him?
i only bought some of the DLC for F5 just what i wanted really, never bothered with horizon DLC, not sure about the drivatar thing i just raced my normal way.
Yeah, I don't know that you can influence your Drivatar very much, I just try to avoid hitting the AI, particularly when they brake during the apex of turns.
As to DLC for Forza 5, its been so long since I bought the DLC cars that I really do not remember which came with the game and which were DLC. Keep in mind that if you buy DLC cars, you now get them for free in game, which I find to be quite nice, particularly for the more expensive, vintage cars. I bought the DLC packs individually, if I had to do it over again, I would buy the season pass because it is cheaper than buying all the packs separately.
As to DLC for Forza Horizon 2, I already have bought the first two packs separately, for $4.99 each. I guess I will keep doing that for the rest of the DLC and will probably end up spending more money than if I had just bought the Season Pass. Oh well, lesson learned, again.
Thanks for the feedback.
It was kinda hard to avoid hitting the AI in my first few races, but now that I've gotten used to FM5 physics and the game has logged enough of my driving the drivatars I'm facing are a lot better. Every now and then they still do some strange things, but holy crap the fountain complex at Long Beach is a clusterf**k on the first lap.
I went through the FM5 car packs and tallied the cars I'd want to buy individually and the cost was about four bucks more than the car pass, so there it is. Sicne I'm still burning through the gift card I won last year playing Forza 4 I also got the Horizon car pass.
After a week of playing single player I'm enjoying both games but I gotta say Horizon 2 is more fun at this point.
Something that may help, Shaggy, is to train your drivatar in rivals mode, where there's no traffic
or crazy drivatars messing with you. That will allow you hot lap and may avoid your drivatar learning bad habits.
You rich guys have all the fun.
