We've gone through the Vault (or at least most of the way before time constraints got us) with Deep in the party. I mean, if we can get there with some ragtag folks and Deep, then you can do it with a plan and adequate levels!
At least I didn't ask for an hourly salary for services rendered.
You could have charged whatever you wanted, sir. Despite bonking our heads into the wall a couple of times, that ended up being a successful raid.
We started doing the raids when it was first available and managed to get past at 29/30/31 in Crota's End. I think only one of us isn't a 32 now, and its a total breeze, but mostly because we've been doing it together for months now. Yes, the levels help, but we all know where we need to be, what the timing looks like, and all that stuff.
The raids are easier with knowledge, fully upgraded armor and weapons and being a higher level. But there is also skill involved. A lot of us do not have the same skills as the crew you run with so it doesn't go as smoothly for us.
So, if you're looking to make excuses about not getting either of the raids done, that's a thing too, I suppose.

Seriously, though. It isn't that hard. I can help if you need it. I'm sure some other folks might be inclined to help run some normal Vaults and through Crota's End.
I am not making excuses, I am just being realistic. I have gamed with you before, your skill > than mine.
I have finished both raids, it just hasn't gone as easily for me. Deep was with me last week when we finished VOG, his level, weapons/armor and knowledge helped.

I think we can thank Bungie for that. Letting people like me earn decent weapons and armour in the daily and weekly events was good planning. I can just manage to keep up.
Once you put the time in and learn the entire Crota raid it becomes ridiculously easy. Raids shouldnt be cleared in 40 mins as it is end game content that should be challenging. CRotas end has no real challenge except for Crota fight and that just comes.down to timing. No one should be dying in that fight unless they accidentally rocket themselves or sword guy hangs in too long. VoG has much better design amd layers to it and is overall a much better raid. Confluxes on hard mode VoG is harder than anything in Crota.
All this being said i can't wait for hard mode Crota next week. We are gonna make him our bitch. Cant wait to get the new raid primaries. Word of Crota looks awesome.
We attempted it tonight, couldnt' make it to the bridge, and almost had the second ogre down when we wiped. We all were doen with the raid by that point. We suck!!!
Building the bridge does suck...but getting to the Deathsinger is very tough. IMO the toughest part of CE. But, hey suck or not it is challenging for all teams.
Did the entire thing last night with only 2 wipes in entire raid, both on Crota, due to it being glitchy. Bridge is really easy but you need to set a batting order for going over and support one another. Sending a titan over first with blinding grenades makes the gatekeepers a joke. He can blind them for each guy coming over. Then just gangbang rocket the ogres.
Same goes for deathsinger. Its actually a really easy fight. Set roles, ie. Who is pulling witches and who is taking shriekers. Onces those are cleared, stay together all in upper left room gang clearing knights and adss until the liturgy starts. Once it does it makes killing ir yut extremely easy as she stays in one spot. Gang rockets should take her out in less than 10 seconds. Then get the fuck out of dodge and snipe the rest of knights from where crota usually is until you get the checkpoint.
Crota is the only spot wipes ever occur and that is usually due to bad timing or glitches. If you have a 32 Crota will be dead before ogre phase. Once again you have to set roles, ie. Someone strictly on boomers, who grabs chalice, sword, etc. The rest is basically dont die and honestly that shouldnt happen as long as people are in the right places doing what they are supposed to.
Also, a couple of times this weekend, Crota was glitching. He wouldn't kneel for more than 1 or 2 swipes, dropped down into the main area to go after the sword guy and was just a general pain in the butt. Some of the guys I was playing with said Bungie reported there may be glitcches this weekend as Bungie prepares for the Hard raid to drop this week.
Finished CE yesterday in about an hour and a half. it certainly helped that we had a level 32 hitting crota. One thing I liked is we went down in the middle at orgre stage and then waited there till Crota went back to the middle. We had a crappy third sword run but finished him off with the fourth. Now that I have all the raid gear!!!! Just need 42 shards to complete helmet and leg armor...Level 32 is still a ways off for me..lol

It was funny, after probably 4-5 failed attempts to kill crota this past week and maybe 5-6 hours of attempts, I jumped into two separate completely random groups using the lfg site and we beat crota in one run both times. I was done on both characters in less than 20 minutes.
it REALLY helps to have 32s hitting crota with the sword, especially experienced swordbearers.
DSmooth and I have a save at Crota and would love to finally beat that a-hole before it resets this week. I'm going to try to start a new subforum here where we can have our own LFG section. So be on the lookout for it. :)

After SGG tonight?
Yep! I might even make a rare appearance on the show.

Thanks to you and Dsmooth for hosting this! I learned a lot more from this final Crota round than I have the previous ones and I thought it was a lot of fun. Of course, I'm looking forward to actually finishing one of these days :-) , but one step at a time ...
Just 2 of us... cleared the second bridge after the light maze last night (got shards and boots/gloves), then xbl/Destiny got weird. I got booted and couldn't get back in. My partner got the second bridge built, while I kept the swordbearer busy and with just a sliver of health (his health regens), so we could kill him quickly once the bridge was complete. Then I ran across with the sword, killed the stuff, then jumped into a safe spot. My partner then killed the ogres and wizards from the opposite side. I shot when I could. Once the wizards and ogres were down, he mozied across.
A Titan with agility & grenade perks made it through the light maze mostly alone. My Warlock made it about halfway on his first attempt. I had grenade perks, but was not groomed for agility.
Can't tell from the video, but I presume they eventually finished or have finished. What does that matter? That a group of 5 with very little communication and very little planning can take Crota down to about a fifth of a health bar left?
Finished Crota off last night with no cheese. We picked some guy up off LFG.net who was a bad ass with the sword. He claimed to of gotten 5 hits on him 1 time during our run. I was on sniper duty looking for boomers. Was nice to beat the whole thing with no cheese, just took us a long time. Now to start again on Friday night and see if we can complete it in 1 night.

I don't get into complete Raids. Bad time zone.
I still think CE is hard, but I have only done it twice now. The first 2 times I attempted it we couldn't even make it past the towers.
Get ready for hard mode! Next Wed. at 10pm PST..... So Thursday for most of us ;)

Would like to join people for Crota raid and any other Destiny activities. Please send fr to Osiris66. Thanks.

At that save as well. Interested! XB1 I presume?
Yep! If you can, please reply to the post I made in the new 2o2p LFG subforum: http://www.2old2play.com/forums/games/destiny/looking-group-2o2p-lfg

Good way to get stuff, even without a full party.

That looks familiar.
And they did it with 5, too.
Did they finish?
