No Jaaaag??? :(
Switched out some GT2 cars in favor of Non DLC ones
Yay the JAAAAAAAAGs back!!!!!! Need to give it a new coat of paint as last one has my results on the back of the GT2 Series lol
GT2 and GT3 are my favorites. I've been wanting to participate in a GT3 series for a long time. I'm up for this depending on the time slot. I'll probably run the Viper CC.
The gt3 class is not very balanced atm, since i have a hard time to find GT3 cars with the exeption of Porsches.
As it is now, the Audi and Mclaren is clearly faster than the other three, so im looking for some more suitable options.
the timeslot im aiming for is the usual racetime on sundays, unless there are some FM5 events.
I was working on lobby handicaps to use in a GT3 series like I'm doing for the current GT1 series. To me, it's the easiest way. I think it's working OK in the GT1 series. I've messed with adjusting the final drive on the different cars to limit them but it is not satifying to me. I was using the BMW as the benchmark since it is the slowest.
Ive done some serious testing with the GT3 class, and it actually might be more balanced than it looks.
I ran 5 laps on Road America, with tuned tire pressure, camber, toe-in and brakes. And with the Viper i also had to turn the gearbox into a 5-shifter.
Lap Times:
Audi: 2.12.1
Viper: 2.12.6
Mclaren: 2.11.4
Mercedes: 2.12.7
Porsche: 2.11.4
Bmw: 2.12.5
To be continued...
I'm up for this, I'd be happy in either class, perhaps might try the GT3 cars.
Although I seem to remember I've got a good Ford GT tune from that GT2 series...
Tough choice, i know. I cant decide so far myself
If not enough drivers for two classes or if everyone is thinking GT3, then perhaps a GT3 series would be best?
the crowd that showed up for last nights race, was the biggest one ive seen in a while. So i was thinking the same. I dont think there have been any GT3 race since i joined this group so maybe its time
I Like the GT3 Idea I can leave the Jaaag for another day
I just need some verification that the cars is around 1sec away from eachother (without any kind of penalty) along with a lobby guide and spreadsheets, and this series is ready to go.
Lobby guide and sheet leave with me i already have a sheet set up just need to finalise with you and lobby guide can you pm me with what you want ill set one up and then we need to get online so you can save it
Ok, ill send you some ideas tomorrow, or the day after.
I ran all your cars without touching anything. On Road America they were within that sec that you mentioned. The only thing I noticed that the Merc's top end was much slower ( only slower top end car I ran on Lemans) on LeMans. You said "Full", so I assumed you meant "Mulsanne". Top end on the Audi was 192 ish. The Merc was 172ish. I then just adjusted the Merc's top end and got it a little higher. But it still was noticably slower.
I can not run in your series but have always enjoyed using the cars in these series and then running them against the AI to at least enjoy the game like you guys do.
Went back to the game and in the Hot Lap section of the game the LeMans Sarthe track is indeed called "Full". Sorry for my error. I'm sure the cars are equal on the "Full" Sarthe version. Look forward to trying to beat you guys by myself at least.
I like this idea, it just depends on the day of the week.
any day you are free mate just let me know
Im aiming for Sundays, if that was pointed to me
I am open any day, except Saturday.
Will there be a test session this Sunday?
am awaiting confirmation from my teammate as to our preferred car, is this gt3 car list therefore final? Will there be a team cup? it would be nice for a few more teams to start up, perhaps if so they could be limited to 2 cars per team, with a and b teams if necessary?
Re the number board have knocked one up which is available on my storefront, has official alms logo and 2o4f gt3 cup branding, if deemed suitable for use by jorm in this championship.
After the practice tonight, the car list in the first post is final.
I have to point out that its the #23 Alex Job racing Porsche thats allowed in the series, not the other GT3 ones.
Ive actually been thinking about something similiar to the teams, i just need to get it down on paper.
Just waiting for Snoop and the spreadsheets, and some help to set up the lobby properly, then this series are ready to go.
Jorm I have the Sheet ready just need to know if you will be running a handicap system either pits or power reduction and then I can finalise and send it to you
As for setting up lobby I am still waiting for what you want the lobby to be set up like as in do you want each car to be a group on its own (as it is limited to only 4 or 5 groups) or are you going to have groups for handicaps etc.
Once I know these things I can set up a lobby and sort out the last bit of the sheet
I'm in. Can't wait. I'll be driving the Mercedes.
Why all the endurance races lately? 10-15 laps around those tracks is enough for me.
