I have been playing the Project CARS alpha on PC since early 2012. It is definitely coming along, the track list is sublime and easily beats Forza 5. To be fair to Forza 5, its versions of the tracks it does have are the best looking in sim racing, even besting the iRacing versions of those tracks. The Ring is particularly amazing looking. Project CARS also has triple screen compatibility, which Forza 5 does not. Other than those two factors, I generally prefer Forza 5. Forza 5 boasts hundreds of cars, Project CARS has dozens. Forza 5's FFB and physics are incredible and definitely a step above Project CARS. I have not been able to run online and so I cannot compare that feature.
If Forza 6 can add weather, triple screen compatibility and more tracks, it will be a winner.
They need to bring back the auction house and tune/paint/vynil group SHARING feature. They also need to add endurance events to the single player campaign, seperate tire wear from the damage settings, allow qualifying & tuning in the lobbies, day/night transitions, weather effects and start adding more real world tracks. If they did these things, and maybe a couple of others I can't think of right now, it would put Forza on the top of the list.
Other shit Forza needs:
Drift Circutits
Bigger selection of aftermarket wheels
Drag racing
Make a deal to get. NASCAR content in there
Historic versions of real world tracks (no need to laser scan)
Zero, do you know for sure if Project Cars' multiplayer will be cross platform or not? As far as I was able to find the answer is no.
To me this would be important in choosing wich version to get, X1 or PC, leaning towards PC at the moment for the tripple screen but if most of the 2O4F members that get P Cars take the X1 version I might switch.

I ran a search in the WMD forums and the answer I got was No. There will not be cross platform play.
- More circuit - more cars i mean not only the best cars from the factory but it would be fun to have the Bora awd a jetta fwd 1.8t and a jetta fwd tdi or jetta awd tdi so wen can try to make something better ... it's not that hard to add this they already have the car just to change few stuff in it it's like copy & paste lol - storefront - team - auction house - More REALISTIC MONEY ... i mean being really hard to make money in the ggame so at least we will more focus to finish the career instead after few rrace you got 14 ferra 10 mclaren and a and a lotus f1 lol More class - Swap awd to rwd back with realistic weight not adding weight - swap only engine from a make into the same make i mean swap a VW for example should have only vw and audi engine since it's the same company and realistic swap like swapping a v10 in a jetta or a golf from an audi no way :P idont want a corvette engine in a ford or a ford engine in a honda lol
- swap engine place ... yes i mean it is possible in the real life and i seen that few time in my life i mean an Mid engine rear wheel Hyundai accent or a golf or .... mostly hatchback car but this feature is not really super important but could be cool
- More realistic tuning ... if you had too much horsepower you'll need a better clucth so it can handle all that power without clutch slip ... like in the real life ... More restriction in some class like roll cage normally you cant really do racing on a track with few other without having some safety rule to respect like roll cage
anyways im pretty sure we won't get alot of new stuff. Why they would try to make their game better??? They make enough money and they ain't care about their customer haha
I have been playing Project CARS on my PC since I bought in in 2012. I had grown impatient with the development and so I stopped playing for a while. I recently reversed course and tried one of the most recent builds and it was amazing. They clearly are optimizing it as I got great FPS even though I am using a GPU that is 3 years old (4 GB Superclocked 670). The FPS were buttery smooth, everything looks great and the AI was halfway decent. This weekend I plan to try the career mode.

And bring back car clubs. Made things a lot easier for series and joining club friends on track.
