In V3 points will completely take over post count and titles. There will be no post count. The cool thing is that we can instead use points to unlock achievements and badges for the site. So as you rank up, you are awarded different achievments.
These can also be handed out for actions you take on the site (like inviting someone new) or other milestones you meet (like being a 5 year member). It's a much more robust system and probably more fitting for a gaming site.

Points are competely out of whack ATM. They will be reset before launch.
