Rangers are good.  I prefer the Pens.  Although looks like Letang will be out long term as well...gonna be tough now.

Yea, I'm not a Rags or Pens fan, but I have quite a few of their players on my Fantasy team. Having Callahan and now Letang out doesn't help at all. Malkin is killlin' it for me though!

In reality though, at least you guys have reliable goaltending. It's really not fun watching Bryz and the D gift a few goals then try to win by scoring 4-5 a game.

Malkin always seems to step it up when Crosby is out. I'm glad he doesn't play this way when Sid is in. Although, for at least this fantasy season I need him to keep it up no matter what. Having Neal doing what he's doing isn't hurtin' you guys either. I like the way he plays. Too bad he's a Pen.cool

true that. malkin is totally different when Crosby isn't here. i wish we could see this kind of play when they are both in the lineup. my goodness, the mayhem they would create.

Just when I thought my leafs might see a post-season again in my life time, they go and implode. Weak-sauce. I guess I'm going to have to live vicariously through all of ya'll with good teams again this year. "there's always next season" is starting to be the mantra in leaf land.

It just seems like Malkin doesn't care nearly as much when Sid is in. It's like he knows the focus isn;t on him as much so he can relax. It makes no sense, but I'm okay with it.Withouth Letang, things should be interesting for you guys. Now that we just lost Timonen and Meszaros, I feel your pain.

right. i'm not sure exactly why. i think he needs that "pressure" of being top dog to be motivated enough to perform at that level for every shift of every game, day in and day out.

i've been very frustrated over the past few years knowing what he's capable not of, but not seeing it except when sid is out of the line up. and not just out, but out for extended periods of time. i've thought there were several times where he was hanging by a thread from being traded because of it.

at first i could chalk it up to his young age, but it's come to the point that that can't be used as an excuse any more.

not bashing, just sayin'.

As a lifelong Rangers fan I'm very happy with the team this year.  Hopefully we can hold off the rest of the East and keep the #1 seed locked up but we'll see.  I loved the 1994 team but now I am ready to have them win another it's been far too long!

Being a life long Flyers fan, I have hated the Rangers more this year than in the past. But I have to respect the play of them and how tough they have been. But the playoffs are a totally different place and anything can happen. I hope it comes down to Flyers and Rangers for the East.

And if you think 94 is far to long, try 75 for the Flyers last.

Callahan is the perfect player - seriously all heart.  I'm not a Rags fan (don't mind them) but I was so impressed watching him tonight.

I was unsure of Cally getting the C but this season and last night he showed why he wears it. I knew those two goals were coming. They were sitting back way too much. I wanted Hank to get a shutout. LGR!

I'm not a Philly fan by any stretch but I love that they came back to win game 1. I hope they beat the piss out of the Pens. I can't stand that team...easily my most despised team.  A Philly/Rags series would be nuts. The winner would be pretty tattered going into the next series.

you just wanna play them because they would be a much easier win for NY than Pittsburgh.devil

Considering the Penguins have been utter shit this post season, I doubt they'd do anything against the Rangers.

Ah, the NHL. I love the suspensions given out to the Rangers and Sens. 3 games for a player who never had a major penalty and who apologized for an errant elbow and 1 game to a POS goon that was out there only to injure a player. I am extremely disappointed in ol' Shanny. Enjoy doing Bettman's dirty work, Brendan?

I am dying to see how many games they DON'T give Asham for that atrocious cross-check. If Hagelin got 3 Asham should be suspended into the third week of next season. I'll refrain from posting what I just typed about Crosby and his antics.

I hope the Rangers can pull out of this setback well, but the consolation prize is what Philly is doing to Pitts.

I was surprised Hagelin got so many games too. It was pretty impressive that Alfie even said it was a mistake. That guy seems like a pretty class act. Still with him concussed Ott. gets the short end of this by quite a margin. I'll be curious to see if this is a bit of a rally cry for Ott.

Boyle hit them back where it hurts the most...scoring the game winner. Krieger stepped in and played well for a kid playing his first NHL game on the number one line, in a game 3 of the playoffs, after all that went down is definitely sink or swim...and he swam.

I feel bad that Alfredsson missed the game and likely will miss Wednesday night as well. He's not a dirty player and neither is Hagelin. To see them both missing games is a shame.

Too bad that the next Rags/Sens game is on at the same time as the Flyers/Pens. I want to watch both. Hopefully there is nothing else scheduled for the DVR!

it's certainly working.

i'm just blown away.

at this point,1/4 of the team is just aweful and/or out of control.

I'M PISSED! i love physical hockey. it's a mean ass sport. hits from behind, sticks to the head. that shit should just get you banned. no suspension. your just done. fuck em. there's a ton more good players waiting in line.
