Assassin's Creed 3 Box Art
What does everyone think of the setting for AC3? Revolutionary War should be pretty kick ass. :)

I really have to finish Brotherhood, and pick up Revelations...
so behind!
otherwise, that cover art is great.
and the setting seems like it could work for a decent storyline.
I’m sure Assassin’s Creed III will be a good game, even one of the year's best. But I also think that the American Revolutionary War is not as interesting an era as Mideviel or Renaissance Europe. It’s completely different from anything they’ve done. They won't even have the monumental buildings to work with. And where am I going to get an art collection?!?
I can't help thinking that they are bowing to the cultural-centric (and extremely profitable) American market. Where is the mind-expanding romp through history that I have come to love? Where is Venus Rising?
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I was kinda gung ho for Egypt or China.
Main guy for AC at Ubi left last year so that may explain it. IMHO they are releasing too many titles in too short a window.
This title has been under developement since 2 came out or shortly after. I figured that was more or less why Brotherhood and Revelations weren't true sequels and more add-ons (but damn good ones) to AC2.
I like the idea of the US Revolutionary War. I think it will be great. Not enough games with this type of setting. Not sure if I enjoy the setting for an AC game or not - as Char mentioned not sure how you are going to scale great buildings and see amazing vistas which such an integral part of the AC experience....but still I wanna run around that Rev. War time period anyway :)
