Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning tops 330K

NPD numbers are out for February.  Big Huge Games' Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning sold 330 000 units in North America last month.  This got KoA:R to #4 on last month's ranking.

01. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (360, PS3, Wii, PC)** Activision Blizzzard
02. Final Fantasy XIII-2 (PS3, 360)** Square Enix Inc.
03. UFC Undisputed 3 (360, PS3) THQ
04. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (360, PS3, PC) Electronic Arts - 330K
05. Just Dance 3 (Wii, 360, PS3) Ubisoft
06. NBA 2K12 (360, PS3, PSP, Wii, PC, PS2) Take 2 Interactive
07. Soul Calibur V (360, PS3)** Namco Bandai Games
08. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (360, PS3, PC)** Bethesda Softworks
09. Twisted Metal 2012 (PS3) Sony - 221K

10. Battlefield 3 (360, PS3, PC)** Electronic Arts

**(includes CE, GOTY editions, bundles, etc. but not those bundled with hardware)

XX. Asura's Wrath - 36K
XX. Syndicate - 34K

-----------

EA has also released that Mass Effect 3 sold 890 000 in the first twenty four hours alone and shipped 3.5M units worldwide.

Interesting sales numbers.  Good on Big Huge Games, which should provide some capital for more adventures in Amalur.

I'm glad to hear the game is doing well, because I like it a lot and very glad that I purchased a copy of KOA: Reckoning, let's hope the developers make more DLC for it, besides the 3 different class packs that were available on Day 1!!!

There are two planned DLC's for KOA: Reckoning.

The first is out 3/20, so I better get hopping on finishing the main campaign.

So what's the deal with the class packs.  I mean you get some specialized armor right?  What's the point if you can play up to whateverl level you and and respec at any time?  Why would you need a bonus on your armor?

Raider, it would be a very short lived bonus, I would think.

I would also like to note, if you swing by a buddies house that has bought those gear packs and you did not; you will have to purchase the packs to continue playing your guy on your console.

Actually, some of the gear is decent too.

There was some good stuff to begin with for any of the 3 classes, and even the ME3 stuff wasn't bad for awhile, but of course I'm making my own Mastercrafted weapons & armor now, but that equipment really did help me get by some nasty critters when first starting out, and yeah I saw on the actual oading screen the announcement of the "The Legend of Dead Kei" DLC for the 20th of March, hoping that it's a huge adventure and worth the price of 800 M$ Points??
