No you're not. The search bar is actually quite the beast. What happens is, every night the site goes into update mode where it slowly scans the content of 2o2p and compiles a detailed search database. Since the site was never updating during beta, it now has to slowly but surely crawl through thousands of usernames, blogs, stories, forums, etc. It will take it a while to catch up, but once it does that little search bar will be able to look up ANYTHING on the site. It's actually quite powerful when you dig into the advanced options.
