Last night was an awesome episode. It could have been the finale so I really want to see what they do to close it out. I also think the farm is gone after this next week and, with that, some more deaths. With the size of the zombie herd coming, there has to be some casualties. I just keep thinking that Darryl and Glenn are in the woods, separated from the group, and completely unaware of what is about to hit the farm. That can't be good.
As far as Shane, that was a long time coming and I love the way they handled it. That final shot where they pulled up and you saw Rick and Carl by Shane's body with the Zombie herd coming out the dark was so great.
In one of the previews it showed Rick running from a horde of walkers through the barn, and there is also a shot of the barn burning in one of the earlier season 2 previews. I think they purposefully trap the walkers in the barn and set it on fire to take care of them. There's also a shot in on of the previews of Daryl on his bike with Carol on the back driving through a bunch of walkers. It looks like they are going to flee the farm and end up getting separated from each other, maybe to meet back up in Season 3.
Michonne may make an appearance but I haven't seen any confirmation of an actress that will be portraying her like there is for another character that has already been confirmed for Season 3.

That would suck. She was so annoying in True Blood. My wife and I were ecstatic when she got shot in the head in the finale. I guess that would really mean she is dead on that show.
I meant it's not confirmed whether she'll make an appearance in season 2 or season 3. Kirkman has confirmed that she is coming to the show.
There are rumors that she will appear in the S2 finale but only as a shadowy hooded figure, thus why no cast member has been announced. Guess we'll see on Sunday.
Yeah, I read something saying that Michonne was going to appear at the end of season 2. It said she had one line, however it also said it may have been cut out of the finale
I read a rumor that she shows up at the end of the finale with her 2 armless pet zombies in tow and saves Andrea
I don't know about the farm being gone in the next episode. It depends on how long they want to drag it out. There will defiantly be a zombie siege next week but, they could drag that on for 2 or 3 episodes. Eventually they will have to make a break for it though and I'll bet Hershel and his family stay behind with the house.
Why was Carl pointing the gun at Rick well before Shane got up. If I was Rick, I would have a big problem with that.
I thought since he saw him kneeling over Shane's body he may have thought he was a zombie. Then when he realized he wasn't he offed zombie shane instead.

I agree with this. He walked up in the dark and saw Rick kneeling over Shane's body. Given the atmosphere, it's reasonable to believe that Rick had become a zombie and attacked Shane. When he saw that Rick was normal, it took a moment for it to process and then he shot Shane.
BTW...that was a pretty impressive. He shot Shane in the head from about 25 yards away while his dad was standing in the way.
I even began singing Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta to my girlfriend at that scene.
The source was never explained in the comic, just like in the George Romero movies. Romero always said it didn't matter what was causing the dead to rise, just that the dead were rising to eat the living. It was hinted in Night Of The Living Dead that it was radiation from a fallen satellite, but was never confirmed. I also remember in the director's commentary for the 2003 remake of Dawn of the Dead they intended to have a scene where a military helicopter landed on the mall and helped out, but decided to drop it because "do you really want a break in the tension so Jeff Goldblum can run up and say 'here's what's going on?'" The scientist was definitely studying some type of organism, but I don't think it would matter if they actually cured it. They'd only stop new zombies from coming; it wouldn't do anything for the existing zombies.
In zombie related aspects, 28 Days later, the virus was manufactured by the military to create a supersoldier that wouldn't die. This obviously backfired, and probably created one of the most frightening zombies out there. They are crazy fast, can sense or smell blood, and if any of their saliva or blood get into your open wounds, eyes, nose, mouth, etc. you turn. and you turn quick. it's not a wait and die sort of thing.
I forget what the cause was in WWZ, they did explain it a little bit at the beginning of the book, but I forget what it was from. I almost think it was from a monkey, and then people started calling it the African flu because the initial outbreaks occured in South Africa.
Can't wait for tonight's episode. Even went so far as to set the DVR a few minutes early and late as I am not missing ANY of this. And awesome news about Michonne showing up. We'll have to see how clsoe to the comic character they make her. Unfortunately I bet they dial her down a bit.
great finale. You can tell Carl is Lori's kid because they are both useless and retarded. Glad Rick is starting to lose it with some of these whinny bitches too - I would have capped Carol.
WTF was that dude in the woods with the chained armless zombies and the ninja sword lol that was awesome.
Couldnt agree more with you on Carl and Lori. Those 2 drive me crazy. Badass way to end the season and Im glad to see Rick finally snap a little bit and tell people off. That prison they showed at the end looked pretty sweet and im excited to see whats in store for the group in season 3.
Now, for Lori. She is a useless idiot. All she does is distract Rick from doing what he needs to do. She started all the crap between Shane and Rick, worsened it by completely attacking Shane when Rick came back, then threw gas on the fire with her little heart-to-heart by the windmill but nothing made me angrier than the crap from last night. Rick tells her about how he was forced to kill Shane, his best friend, and her response it to get mad at him and look at him like he's some kind of monster? Isn't this the same woman that was all but handing Rick a gun and telling him to put Shane down three episodes ago?
I have never wanted to reach through a TV and slap a character so bad in my entire life. At this point, I'm eagerly rooting for her to die
Also, I want Herschel's shotgun. What'd he have like 100 shells loaded in that thing?
Michonne, the Governor, and the Prison for next season is going to make this a very long wait.

Couldn't agree more about Lori. What the FUCK is her problem? "You killed Shane? How could you? It's not like I basically told you he was a dangerous monster and was threatening our whole family". Yeah, reaching through the TV and smacking her would have been wonderful.
But I like how Rick ended the discussion. "You wanna go? Then go. Because this isn't a democracy any more"
Did anybody watch Talking Dead after where the producer was saying Herschel was originally supposed to die? That's actually what I though was going to happen. Can't wait til next season.

I didn't catch the Talking Dead, but did record the second showing of it. I am interested to see what they discuss regarding the season.
My wife and I said the same thing about Hershel's shotty. I was actually surprised that he started to reload that one time when Rick showed up. I didn't think he had 100 rounds in his pocket.
It is going to be a long summer, and very long 6 months for season 3 to come around. I look forward to seeing the Michonne/Gov story line. My wife keeps asking about the Gov, but that is one thing I will not tell her.

They've been at the farm the whole second season. I don't believe they go into season 3 still there.
I think the horde overtakes the farm and everyone (including Hershel) have to flee.
I just love that Lori finally admitted its her fault she fucked up Shane. Shame it only made Shane want to kill Rick more.

That makes sense. I was wondering that myself, I was thinking that little bugger was going to shoot Rick because of Shane.
Now everyone who dies turns into a walker. Air transmitted infection? Water absorption in small quantities? Or just brain trauma psychosis?

Great show.... Counting down to Sunday nite

That wasn't a dude, it was Michonne. She's a badass. Reading up on her, those "pet" zombies are her boyfriend and his friend, who killed her daughters
And good news for you Rutina Wesley haters.... Michonne will be played by Danai Gurira
As for Carl, they said he becomes more of a badass. They said, think Shane's crazy with Rick level head
