And.... I will be late I am out of town for the next 2 months. I do have my xbox and will return home that weekend but by the time i start playing I will be a week late to the party.
But I will make up for it with sheer awesome enthusiasm! Rhymes with orgasm!
Ya I'm excited and hesitant at the same time.
Never been that great at armored core but I'm going to give it an honest go with this version.
Glad we got a forum for this stuff finally :)

Luckily the campaign is gonna be co-op, so we can all get together and knock the rust off killing bots before getting online with it. I'm looking forward to several hours in the garage building the perfect mech again.

im gonna be in the garage for hours just painting and making an emblem.
building an AC is another story. theres still a lot for me to learn.
the time i spent with AC4 and AC4A my builds were pretty simple. they were a mix of light and med body parts and twin rilfes and grenade launchers. i tweaked the stabilizers a little so i would be able jump back a little faster if someone got to close to me.

You gonna have your Live back up and running by then? You better cause I'm gonna need all the help I can get

yeah. i managed to put aside some cash. gonna be getting a new 12 month card this week.
There is a character thats been in the games and I know him best in 4A for having me kill innocent defenseless people. He played a counting game while i did it. 2 yes 2 billion, 4 oh 4 billion, .... all the way up to 10 billion people we massacred together. His name was Old king. Apparently he was the leader of some terrorist organization in previous installments, afterwards he was just a ally with Odsterva. but heck he was good for entertaniment.
So anyway i thought a interesting name for us would be the "Old Kings", though I don't think of us as evil, we may be among the older crowd in this game and we are known to bouts of the crazies, plus it has game relevance, so maybe the Old Kings would be good. I am not in love with this name, just when I thought of it, I cracked a small smile so thought I'd mention it. Its the best idea i had so far...
Really looking forward to this game. Also planning on writing a review as well. Haven't played a mech game since Chromehounds and really excited about it!
Imagine how hard it would be for the operator if the other team was using radar jammers. We can expect when playing other teams that someone would be playing as a light and equipped to jame radar.
He was a tough ombre! Didnt witness the supposed superior ground turning speed of the tank in that video though. Wonder What the deal is. Anywho. Lots of power lots of defense, but it did seem everyone was using either kinetic or chemical weapons. didn't see thermal damage applied to him.
Loved the corny jap metal! Thrashed the whole vid.
This is an interesting battle. The team we are viewing from is only 2 guys strong. The other 2 guys are mercenaries (random players). The first Merc gets himself killed right off the bat by rushing a full strength team by himself. The second merc waits, with the group but when they do move in takes of and fights turrent emplacements far away from the real battle. That left the 2 wingmen to fight 4 guys themselves. Which they managed to do amazingly enough. They survived a huge missile, 2 idiot randoms and 2V4 battle to claim a their first online territory! Well earned brothers well earned.
damn. life knows how to mess with a gamers play time. my work schedule along with my wifes work schedule has changed a bit. i'll still be picking it up ACV tomorrow. i prob wont be able to play until thursday though.... argh!!! if i do manage to get on before then, it will be only enough time to tinker in the garage with paints.
I feel for ya! I had to order mine online from Gamestop. They say it'll ship on Tuesday, so I have no idea if I'll get to play it then or not! Can't wait to get into this stuff.
Got my notification yesterday that I can pick up my copy tomorrow morning
I will be playing my usual late nights during the week and a more normal time during the weekends. I am looking forward to this being my new favorite "go to" game.
Today is the big day. I still have to wait another 5days or so before I get to try mine. But you guys get to break shit tonight. Have fun and I can't wait to join yas.
I'm really not lookin forward to the reviews for it. It's a very steep learning curve and the majority of your gameplay is gonna be in the garage tuning your mech. That's gonna turn off most people right there who expect to just hop into the action ala COD and dominate. It's the Forza of mech games, if you're willing to put in the time to learn it it's a great game.
i personally dont see reviews being too kind to ACV. the game has a niche following and is not well known.
unless the person reviewing the game is a fan of mech games and can understand the learning curve in the garage, they will rate this game between a 6 - 8.
whatever the reviews are, im getting it. done deal. i'm just interested to see "critics" opinions.
I'm not planning on writing a review until I get some decent game time. I'll definitely still post some thoughts on it, but I'm guessing it'll be a week or two before I make a final determination on it.
Just a note: I haven't played a mech game since Chromehounds, so the perspective won't be from a mech gaming expert, just a dude who loves video games.

I think that can be said for a lot of us. I also have not played a Mech game since Chromehounds so I'm looking forward to this.
3,5 days left for me boo hoo. You guys having fun? You guys conquor any territiories? You guys make anybody cry yet? Actually a better question might be: have you guys even gotten out of the Garage?
I know I know, first week with the game... gonna be mostly single player and learning the game. I'll settle down.

lol, ya I got some news.
Taco got destroyed on a single player mission last night and when that happens your pilot bails out and you can fly around the map with a little jet pack thing.
Of course I didn't hear him say he went down and I thought he was an enemy mosquito thing and kept trying to shoot him

So what are we gonna call our team/army anyways?

Old Kings sound cool but, im not crazy about it either. i do like using the theme of our age group though.
something that gives the sense of warriors of legend returning to teach the Timmies a thing or two about Mech Combat.
Really looking forward to this game. Also planning on writing a review as well. Haven't played a mech game since Chromehounds and really excited about it!
Looking forward to seeing you on the battlefield!

Here we see a camper get killed by an overed weapon. Moral of the story.... Alls fair in Armored core.
I really like that there was an operator cam on the guy at TOD. Very sweet.

Just look at the raw damage a tank can put out. I really like that they're making such a distinction now.

oddly enough, i havent been able to find any reviews on this.
what? is this game that much of peoples radar? or am i looking in the wrong places??
I'm picking it up today and planning to do a review on it in a few days.
sweet. even though i will have already played, i still would like to see your opinion on it.
cant wait to read it.
