Group admins should now have mod access in their forums. I had to fix this on a case by case basis so if you still cant sticky a post in your forum let me know. Happy moding.
I don't think it works for me. But to be honest, I don't know WTF I'm doing. I've only been a group mod about 48 hours. The only new thing I think I can do is add/remove people from the group.
I don't seem to have those powers in the ARTofWAR group :(
How about now?
Seems good now, have the extra options to edit and delete posts (as well as stickying existing posts via Edit). Seems we can't immediately sticky a brand new topic though?

What do you mean immediately sticky a brand new topic?
What do you mean immediately sticky a brand new topic?
I mean when I go and click "New Post" in the forum I'm the admin in, there is no option while creating that new post to "sticky" it. I'd have to post the message first, then go and re-edit it to sticky it.

Hmmm, this should not be the case. So if you click new post you have no publishing options at all?

Correct. All I have is "disable rich-text", notes about BBCode, link to more info about formatting, and the Submit and Preview buttons. Just like what I'd have in a forum I am not the admin in.
same here. I do have some admin rights to my group, but only certain posts? Like the new thread we have in there from Bob, I have the ability to edit or delete his post, but no one else's in any other threads
Me, I should be an admin for Antiquity and I cannot sticky or edit someone else's post
and what is weight under "manage group forums"?
"When listing forums, those with lighter (smaller) weights get listed before containers with heavier (larger) weights. Forums with equal weights are sorted alphabetically."

This will be something you use for groups with multiple forums. For instance if you had something like....
Antiquity
-- Tournmanet Forum
-- Pictures Forum
You could use the weight to push either the tournament forum above pictures or below. Only 1 clan is currently testing the multiple forums option ATM, but it may be something we go site wide with in the future.
gotcha, thanks. please forgive me if that was already posted somewhere. Speaking of that, is there a list or set of instructions somewhere to help those less forum inclined, such as myself, in the ways of Admin-ing a group?

I think me and LB are going to put a new tutorial up every week on our TnT show. I'll probably start with admin stuff.

am i missing something here, or do I just not have mod rights in my group? I don't see anything for publishing options and cannot edit anyone's post at all now.

Have you checked under the Edit button? If you have edit capability, that is.

I don't have it either. I can remove Bertt from the group, but I can't edit any posts other than my own.
I haven't had a chance to watch TnT Ep6 about admin stuff. Are the secrets to unlocking the power revealed there?

I do not have any admin rights for the GSN group forums. I can edit the group and add members, but nothing in the forums, can't sticky any posts at all and no edit's except for my posts.

No worries. I'm in "spreading happy thoughts" mode. Holding your membership ransom for beer might further F up my karma.
Thanks Doodi. You truly are a gentleman & a scholar.
I would tear Tinkerbell up.

Also if anyone else doens't have it working let me know!
Me, me, me !! May I also have the mojo? Pretty please? With pizza and boobies on top?

agreed. this was very confusing to me.

I haven't got full Admin rights for 2Euro2Play cloup page. I can edit other's posts, but cant sticky posts.
check now
Cheers Doodi
So, I can now delete/edit posts in the GSN forums. Am I missing something here as far as making stickies? I don't see how to do that.
Click Publishing Options and then check Sticky at top of lists.
