So I noticed firebase White and old cerberus. What would you say you had the most difficulty with? How did you overcome this obstacle. What was your strategy for the Atlase? What kind of effort was needed to down one?
Damn, obviously I quit too soon. Couldn't find a fourth and had to get some sleep.Congrats guys.
***EDIT***
AND let me add that how fucking ironic it is that when we do our gold run, using level 3 loadouts, we get to wave 6 kicking ass only to hear, "Aw man, the fire alarm just went off gotta go." O___o Really!!?!! Fuck! We went into the crapper right after he left.
We honestly didn't care much about the Atlas, they were spawning 4 at a time in the later rounds but they're so big and slow you can kill them before they become a threat. But to take them out I woudl combo a cloak which amps my powers and bullets, hit it with energy drain then snipe it in the cockpit with the Widow right away to get the damage boost coming out of cloak. They go down, and there's always missile if you get into trouble.
The biggest two threats are the Phantom and the Combat Engineer. To battle the Phantom required good communications and we had an Asari Adept to stasis them. Then hit them with a power and a widow to the face and they're pretty much dead. I'd say the phantoms were the highest priority targets, they were bubbled and killed within 5-10 seconds after someone called out the location of one. The combat engineers on White weren't really a factor, but they became the factor that made us loose on a differnet match on Goliath. If they get that turrent pack on the ground, the turret spawns, doesn't matter if you kill the engineer or not. So you need to hit him with a power to stop him from placing the turret and then kill him while he's stunned. The turrets themselves are a power/bullet kill combo so they're not much of a risk alone but in later rounds you'll get 3 or 4 engineers planting those damn things and then they become a factor.
Our team consisted of Two Solarian Snipers rocking Widows, one Quarian Engineer and one Asari Adept.
Another strategy we used at the extraction is three of us stayed away from the zone and I'd sit in the zone invis and pop-shot . That kept the hordes from flooding the end pretty much and everyone ran for the zone with 15 seconds left ont he clock and all but Barheet made it. Only 1 person has to extract for it to be a success so it doesn't matter really what happens to the other three people as long as you have an invis guy in the zone at the end.
We had a run to level 10 on Goliath after this White game . We were rolling it until wave 10 were they put the hack out in the middle front of the map and spawned a bunch of Atlases, a half dozen PHantoms and at least four Engineeers whos hit out turrets right at the hack terminal. It sucked hard, fuck that. I think next time we need to run out to the front of the map after wave 9 and prepare for that kind of BS.
Also on Gold, it seems like the movement speed is twice as fast as bronze/silver, at least for Cerberus. Took a few shots to adjust to that trying to snipe.
And I thought I was a big deal doing a solo Bronze run last night.......
It took me 33 mins of playing hide and seek with Cerberus but I pulled it off. I think pulling solo on any difficulty is only possible with an infiltrator, any other class would get stomped on.
I actually was thinking it could be possible to to solo VS geth and sabatoge. You probably would need to clear your patch though so you have the launch sabatoge not the nerfed version. Too bad an Infiltrator doesn't have Sabatoge, that would be just stupid easy VS geth

I was surprised how easy Gold was last night. Gold = new bronze. I hope they add a platinum. I mean 2 salarian infiltrators with widow's and 2 asari adepts with carnifex's seemed unfair.
Good games last night, the N7 Alpha Team took back Firebase Giant and Firebase Ghost against the Cerberus Gold troopers. The highlight of the Ghost match was Cerb in a clutch vs two Atlases with a pistol and warp.
Team consisted of Two Solarian Infils with Widows and Two Asari Adepts with Carnifex / stasis. Pairing up an Infil with an Adept seemed to work out exceptionally well.
Firebase Dagger still eludes us and then we have the shitty maps Reactor and Glacier to take back.

Haha yeah thanks. The trick is not to aim with the pistol with those guys. Get to a corner where your standing, use warp, warp, throw (biotic explosion) then i would just fire without using the left trigger. It seemed that I got hit a lot less doing that. Run then repeat. They both had full shields when I started too.
Dagger has tough extraction areas. both are wide open and lot of problems. Reactor I think we need to use the stay on the other side of the map and run when there is 15 secs left to extraction.
You might not necessarily need an asari adept but Stasis is a manditory when fighting Cerberus on Gold. Two guys with Stasis is manditory in my opinion with how many Phantons they send at you. I don't remember al the powers across all the character clases but as long as you have a guy wit stasis that's level 18-20 it probablyw ill work out. Also having a heavy hitting pistol is good too so your cool down is 200% but also so you can finish off the phantoms. If a phantom is in stasis and I shoot her with the widow, there are times when she's still alive after and so a Carifex or Eagle pistol is handy to finish her off.
But i'm pretty sold on the character comob we've been using, it's been working out really well.
Not to be a dick but I'm sticking with my regular gold group until I knock them all out. We communicate well and have shit figured out. 1 weak or inprepared member means certain failure. Gold is hard enough as it is. The times i have tried gold with other players has always ended in failure.
As for silver and bronze, I will play with anyone at anytime.
The Asari Vanguard has Statis (along with Biotic Charge and Lift Nades). I can't fathom using a Vanguard in Gold though! :)
barheet rolled one with an arc pistol last night on gold and we still won lol. He did die a lot though. In saying that I hope he never rolls that class again.
Biotic Charge is worthless in Gold, it'll just get you in over your head in shit fast. Lift grenade is mildly useful but you really want some powers that can combine and explode. I'm not sure what if anything paris up with lift grenade to cause biotic explosions or tech bursts. The one thing you DON'T want is someone using Shockwave. Your Infl partners will be hating your kids if you're shaking the screen all over the place shooting that shit everywhere.
ya but it took you guys 32 minutes. Gonna have to do better then that if ya want my respect! lol
Doesn't count, Barheet was dead at extraction.
Says the guy who hasn't done it yet.
When the silver warm-up rounds were going like we were playing bronze, that was a good sign we could shit on some gold.

2x Widow and Incinerate makes an Atlas our bitch

Humbled
PC doesn't count. Anyone can mod and console command their way to a gold run.
Yea, thats cheesy.
LOL wow tough crowd here.

So when are you guys gonna be available for some gold runs this weekend or do they only happen when I'm offline?
YOu can't do gold runs while you're playing Armored Core V O_o

It's the quarian infiltrator that has sabotage.
So we do'in gold runs tonight?
I'd honestly like to get all 6 done before Bioware goes and 'rebalanes' things and makes shit even more rediculously difficult than it is now.
Im in. And I agree lets get it in before Asari Adept and Salarian Infiltrator get nerfed.
Ill be on in an hour

I'm ready for gold runs at any time.
Would be even better if I could unlock the damn asari adept though :(
Bowlringer FINALLY got one the day before yesterday and I had to laugh out loud because I know how long he has wanted one. (since demo).
