This year marks a 50 year milestone!
So its the golden aniversary of Bond......James Bond, and the Bond Cars over the years.
Whats your favorite Bond Movie? What about favorite Bond Car and why? The latest Bond (23) called Skyfall will be out in Oct. of this year and I bet he will be in the Aston Martin again.
To celebrate this occasion ALS is putting out a tribute pack and this is an early peek at the promo vid.
Classic Bond - From Russia with Love / Octopussy
Modern Bond - Tomorrow Never Dies
Car - The DB5 is so hard to argue against because it's such quintesential Bond. Other favorites include the Lotus Esprit Turbo and the Vanquish.
I need to get the Blue Ray set when it comes out.
Almost to the point of not caring how much it costs. If I can spend $100+ on Forza, I can drop $150-200 on a Bond set.
Just watched the vid.
Damn it, now I need to go buy most of those cars.
Favorite movie:The man with the golden gun
Favorite car:Lotus Esprit Turbo
cool video
Movie: Goldfinger
Song:Live and Let Die
Car: The Matador! ( J/K!!!!) The Aston for sure...
Don't really have a favorite film but car? No brainer, has to be the DB5.
Parcells loves the old Bond Movies. Moore and Connery were the only two that could play that part right. Of course starting in the nineties political correctness didn’t allow Bond to get laid as much so that sort of ruined Brosnan’s chances of being good at the part which I think he could have been. Craig shows promise but the allure of the Bond series is long gone.
I slightly favor Moore over Connery, favorite is “For Your Eyes Only” (fell in love with Melina) followed closely by “Live and let Die” and for some reason I really liked Moonraker…when Bond non-shallantly shot the guy in the trees while skeet shooting was priceless. Don’t even have to google to remember the lines…bad guy (Drax???) said “Sorry you missed”, Bond replies “Did I?”
Also loved The Spy Who Loved me which featured my favorite Bond car. Not sure of the Model but it drove under water, how cool is that.
Great memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another fav movie. Car was the white Lotus Esprit Turbo. A copper/red version made it into another movie (I forget exactly which one off the top of my head).
I could (and have) sit and watch Bond movies all day...in fact, I think that may be in order come this fall. I should be settled into the new house, surround sound set up and Bond on BlueRay. Could be a very good weekend.
Shaken, not stirred.
I also liked the Connery movie they made well after he had stopped, Never Say Never?
