Close Quarters impressions
I'll start a thread 4 this even though I will probably skip this myself

Donya Fortress gameplay

The question I have is, are they starting that whole "2 week early access" thing right now? As in, us "normies" won't get to buy the DLC until June 18 or 19?

The quarters are tight and the walls are close, but these are not small maps.
The sound is amazing on these maps. Wearing headphones and the map with cars in the basement totally messed with me. Footsteps will mess with you as they (rightly) echo and are amplified.
The visuals have this weird pixel grain to them that reminds me of Bad Company, but that's probably an artifact of the destruction. And how nice it is to see somebody run past a drywall crack and you just draw a line of bullets down the wall.
Maybe it's because everyone's trying to complete assignments, but my matches were not full of shotguns. To complete assignments, I did pull out some shotguns but they're so not my style. Needless to say, I did not dominate. I did, however, feel like I was cheating running around with the PP-19. Multikills and squad wipes were only too easy.
Speaking of assignments, there's a T-UGS assignment, so you will hear a LOT of beeping as people are going for those motion sensor kills.
While they still carried that Battlefield feeling of frenzied action that can come at you from every direction, my only criticism/worry at this point is their longevity. How soon before people get burned out? If you've ever been stuck on a large map with a small number of players and found yourself drawing a big circle while you and the other team exchange opposite flags, you're familiar with that mundane rinse-and-repeat feeling. And that's what these maps can quickly become...but at Benny Hill speed.
Yeah, with the style and map size etc., it won't take long to get burned out on these.
I'm REALLY waiting for the new VEHICLE based maps to drop in a few months. :)
