Back in Time the Healey series Postponed for one week
With the popular Fairlady Cup coming to a close this week next week we move to the Healey. C class tune from Oldchool will be used for all six races and for the casual visitors there will be a car in the Garage you can just pull out and run.
This will be the usual ramshackle, relaxed and friendly series, as I just roll that way.
More details will follow as I make them up
Right been having a little think about points and rules and all that stuff...How about we just race and have fun. No points, no stress, no having a series spoiled by a disconnect or crash. No one seemed that bothered in the Fairlady Cup so my guess is most of you that run with me on a tuesday will be quite happy with that.
Anyway I'm sure we will keep a rough record of places just for fun...of course if you all want points, well church has offered to do the Google docs thing, but do we need it?
No Unicycle Hill Climb?
Count me in.
Coco the Clown
Working on it mate, just waiting for Turn Ten to reply to my email
Same time and day I hope?
If so count me in
Oh yes, seemed to work so why change
Working on a paint for Coco the Clown in the Garage as that car has my number on it...I think...
Did I send you a copy of the tune Knight? That way all the garages can get it if needed.
BTW, full disclosure here, Stewies the inspiration on this...so if you love it, let him know, and conversely if you don't, tell him not me.
Not sure mate, hang about I'll fire up the Box and have a look...No I have been using the one in the euro garage.
I'll try to send it out today. I'm getting all jammed up this week. Wedding Anniv. today (19 yrs), boys got some online webinar for college financing, Father's day Sunday, and something I can't remember that's orbitting just outside my field of vision, dang it.
No worries mate whenever you have the time. I am just putting a paint on now, all ready for next week.
Ah! Gizzie requested some stuff that's gonna take a bit. My information highway gets a little clogged sometimes.
The price of popuarity mate
Hey,
can someon eplease send me that tune? I willl participate, if time allows. Love to race against you all!
JDANKERT
I will be sending Knight the tune tonight, but he'll be at the "flix". There is a copy in the 2o4e clubhouse already, red over black if you'd like to try it out. I do believe we're gonna lock it down so it isn't adjustable. For that matter, it's probably on my S/F.
I'll gift it to you in a moment...The series runs at the same time as the fairlady cup did Tuesdays 21:00 GMT.
Thanks Gizze, picked it up last night.
Knight is in possession of the tune at this point, dunno if he knows that yet...
Heh Snappy and I just ran a few laps on Nurburg, Hock short and the Alp...Hock short is definitely in...we were never more than a few yards apart and crossed the line just about side by side...Now that is what I'm looking for
My Healey
Right been having a little think about points and rules and all that stuff...How about we just race and have fun. No points, no stress, no having a series spoiled by a disconnect or crash. No one seemed that bothered in the Fairlady Cup so my guess is most of you that run with me on a tuesday will be quite happy with that. It also means people can pop in and out without messing up their or others series points
Anyway I'm sure we will keep a rough record of places just for fun...of course if you all want points, well church has offered to do the Google docs thing, but do we need it?
What will I be racing for then? hehe
The joy of making my racing life a misery LOL
Church I can test my new passing manoeuvre on you.
Knight,
I think that you do need a points system but make it really easy by making the person with the least number of points the winner of the series.
If you cant make a race you get the number of participants added to your score as if you had come last.
i.e. First place gets 1 point, 2nd 2 etc. If there are 10 racers all of those that miss the race you get 11 points, 8 racers and those missing the event get 9. Simple I think but then I am very simple....
In that way it makes no difference how many people do or don't turn up and makes battling for that last corner actually mean something.
Just my 2p worth.
P.
Simple? LOL Ah well it was just a thought...Track night works without worrying about points, and crossing the line in first still has meaning. Okay Dawg if points you want, points you shall have but in the traditional way, 12 for first, 10 for second, 8 for third the 7,6,5,4,3,2,1.
Church? better sort out the old Google Docs thing...Could you add a sign up field for each race?
Knight,
Your ball, your rules.
I will be there what ever. Still struggling with a paint scheme though might just run naked....
p
Heh he, no naked cars...that is a firm....ish rule. I had a struggle painting this one too. The finding the old style Castol logo was the key for me.
@Fitzy. You could try... Although you know I will still be driving when on my roof.
@Paul. So if I came last I would win? Intersting. I like the normal way though as people wont sandbag.
@Knight. Leave it with me I will see what i can do fella.
Cheers mate, don't know what I'd do without you...Other than finish a race with an undamaged rear end of course LOL
Dont you mean front end?
