Hey Jason, sorry for the other day, You invited me to a race but I was showing a game to a friend of mine and my wheel was acting out so I could not really join. I did not mean to ignore your invite I just had few technical difficulties.
Never tried clutch! Will try it next time I play.
Here is a question to wheel players: flappy pedals shifting vs sequential shifter vs H type shifter? what people use and why. I do not have a shifter so I use the pedals on the back of my TurboS not big fan of those.
No worries dude. I only send the invites so nobody feels left out. I'm not offended if you just ignore them.
As for the wheel question, I'm on an old MS wheel, so the flappy paddles are my only option. But I've tried the fanatech's & still prefer the paddles over the H pattern shiter personally.

I am much faster with the paddle shifters. No way around that. The H shifter is for immersion, not speed.
ide love a "game room" sadly our house is very limited on space thus even a wheel an chair set up would be a big no no unless i converted the loft and found another place to put all the junk in there.. even then it would take me fore ever and a day to save up enought for a decent wheel pedals shifter seat frame tv/tv's and sound system.
though i did have a friend who had a race sim set up and i found after a hour or so i had had enough of it. where as sat on sofa playing pad be it xbox/pc i can litrally play for a day or until i fall asleep 10-20 hours if my time frame allows.
hell our front room doesnt even have enough room to properly use kinect fish tank and sofas in the way to play it properly really lol. when i do use the MS wheel i have a shitty plastic table i mount it on and drag the sofa even closer to the tv which is only 27"... then the wife complains i am taking half the room up lol but she goes and watches all the TV shows i have for her on her ipad so its not so bad ;).
on the maual clutch i shall give it a try today and from now on ill play about an see if it works for me. ta for teh advice.
The Rennsport stand from Fanatec could be an option for you, it folds away after use and takes next to no room to store, I sometimes used it from my settee. Shame I am so far away I have one one sitting here doing nothing since I got my rig.
With the exception of someof the R class cars, using athe clutch will add as much as 1/2 a second on an average length track
