Sunday Aug 5 Tourny Format - 100 Card Kaleidoscope Singleton
I don't have a lot of time to dream up a crazy format. I liked yesterday's format...decks we normally don't play due to their ferociousness. I did find some cards that I really like..Fireblast in particular.
The only banned cards for Kaleidoscope are Anathemancer and Glittering Wish.
Non-basic lands are legal, but only one of each.

Yeah it was fun , probably because everybody was using a "boring" format
Now going to dig for some multicolored thingies
So, weekend before last we made a trip to New York and back in 2 days. Got in at 4:00 am. I wasn't a pretty site. But, I did have the day off Monday and slept in, a good part of the day. Gerry, of course, went to work on 3 hours sleep. And he thought it would be the same as it used to be. NOT! Getting old......
This past weekend we went down to NC and back in the same day. Yikes! These quicky road trips are gonna be the death of me! It was my gson's 10th bday and I just couldn't miss it! I watched him play on his xbox Kinect, wow, that takes ENERGY!!!!! Then we went out to eat and played miniature golf, something I haven't done in a looooong time. A good time was had by all, and now I am happy to say, I think I am staying in town this weekend. Yes! I may just be here for the tourney Sunday. We shall seeeeee.
Well if people don't play a sorta monocolored k-scope deck this could be a fun format.
I even bought a few new cards and dumped 120+ cards in a deckpool(no lands).
The singleton twist prevents you from building a good strategy into it i think.
Its nice to have a cardpool ready in the beginning of the week so you can tweak it bit by bit if you haven't got much time to spare.

Oh man, I just realized I have Anathemancer in my deck. It seemed like such a nice fit!
So I deck tested with Jello tonight, and that card never came up and I still liked my deck. He thought we had to use all 5 colors, and I didn't know. Apparently any colors we want? I am running 4. And I will take out the nasty card. I have other nasty ones. I have gotten back into reading articles and looking at net decks a bit. I really have forgotten sooo much about how to build decks and/or even how to play well. It's kinda fun to study it a little bit. Soooo, I will see y'all Sunday!
I built a 4-color tonight. Pretty random but I might get lucky. I playtested against Doc, it did ok but he won. Kinda nice to get it done & tested early in the week though, plenty of time left to tweak.
That's what i was thinking but i only got it down to 82 cards(no lands) so far.
Like allways there are just too many fun cards in this game (even in this format)
When i take out a card its allways..........Yeeaaahhh.....but what if ?
Ah whatever.......i will have something playable tomorrow
Yeah it's hard to let some cards go when you get a idea in your head but when you play them out they seem to let you know well that's not going to work.
